If every hotel was operated the same as this, travelling would be much easier. Room was spotless, good size, wonderful bed, restaurant for dinner hard to beat, breakfast good with all the staff happy & helpful. Definitely one of our better stays in a lifetime of travel.

Nice quiet place with great service and comfortable rooms. From now on it will be on my favourites list. I will be happy to come back here. Update: i had not enough time to write more so doing it right now: Room: small 2 person room but very comfortable with nice large bed and well equipped bathroom. Food: i had a chance to stay for breakfast only but I think it was enough to have some opinion about it. Well, food quality is awesome: everything is really tasty, fresh and well served. Comparing to 4 star hotel in Amsterdam I think cook and staff in Hotel Haus Duden should receive 6 stars just for food. Parking spaces: plenty, considering size of this hotel. Placement: Nice quiet area, all surrounded by trees and silence. Really place I would like to come back for rest and charge up again. Hotel offer bike rent, massage and has plenty of space to organize trainings, conferences , etc. Everything at countryside, far away from city noise with comfort and kindness of staff. Can you imagine more comfort ? Hotel was introduced as a 4 star but I think it deserve 6. Seriously. I really felt there as a special guest, like everybody else, I think.

Marienthal is a very pretty little village with charm and...

Marienthal is a very pretty little village with charm and beautiful natural surroundings. The small river Issel flows through the village, which is also very scenic and idyllic. Marienthal is definitely worth a short trip. There are also some lovely little boutiques and very nice restaurants.

We stayed for only one night as part of a family celebration...

We stayed for only one night as part of a family celebration. The celebration took place in the hotel's lovely conservatory. Lunch for the group could be chosen from a (limited) à la carte menu: The food was very good and served very quickly. The staff were exceptionally friendly.
