It's a petrolhead paradise! Loved the setting and the proximity to the Zenith (we attended a concert there). The staff was super helpful and spoke English perfectly, checking in and out was a very easy process. The rooms were spacious, very clean and very beautiful. Even the shower was great! We had an amazing time.

It is a very nice family hotel located in a park. The metro station is just a 2-minute walk away, and you can reach the center of Munich in 5–7 minutes. The room was very comfortable for a family — it had two rooms and two toilets, like a small apartment. The breakfast area was also very nice. There were supermarkets and restaurants in the neighborhood. We will definitely return to this hotel the next time we visit Munich.

Beyond Oktoberfest

Renowned for its stunning architecture and the world’s largest fair, Oktoberfest, Munich needs little introduction. Its vibrant cultural scene, great shopping and fantastic museums speak for themselves.

Munich has something for everyone: from historic palaces and castles, to stunning royal avenues to world class galleries and museums. Don't miss the new city hall in the heart of Marienplatz or the former residence of the Bavarian kings, the Residenz. Munich is also home to the world’s most famous beer hall, the Hofbräuhaus.

For great shopping, Karlsplatz is another commercial wonderland square that takes up much of the city centre and the upscale area around Maximilianstrasse. Munich is famous for its food too, so make sure you try the local Weißwurst, Leberkässemmeln and other popular pork dishes.

Thanks to efficient S-Bahn train, getting to the city centre from Germany’s second busiest airport, Munich International Airport is quick and easy. Whether you’re looking for luxury hotels, youth hostels or comfortable apartments, Booking.com has the perfect accommodation for your Munich visit.

So many places to see and food to eat in the city center.

So many places to see and food to eat in the city center. Museums n Sausage was great everywhere. The food stands behind Marienplatz were the best. The train access was 5/7 minute walk to Marienplatz and to several other stations to get to the residents or the palace. We took the train straight to the airport on our last day. Easy access and very accessible with buying tickets and riding around the city to the various museums like bmw and Olympic stadium. Ate to our hearts delight and sleep like babies. Keep in mind Sundays lots of places closed. Churches were amazing. Free water wells throughout the city refill your bottles: mareintplatz n marketplaces.

At first, Munich felt a bit unfriendly, but once I started meeting people, I had overwhelmingly positive interactions and great conversations. The stereotype about distant Bavarians didn’t match my experience at all — I actually found the city to be a very comfortable and welcoming environment.

We were in town for 3 days but if I had one more day, I could have visited Neuschwanstein Castle (which you should). Visiting Munich with family, we mainly concentrated in historical buildings and museums, which there are plenty. Food was also great, there are many restaurants serving food from all around the world.

I would say that my visit to Munich was truly an unforgettable experience. The city perfectly blends rich history with modern sophistication. The architecture is stunning, especially in Marienplatz, where you can admire historic buildings and enjoy the lively atmosphere. One of the things I loved most about Munich was how clean and organized the city is. Public transportation is efficient and easy to use, making it simple to explore different neighborhoods and attractions. The parks, especially the famous English Garden, offer beautiful green spaces to relax, walk, or even watch surfers on the river. Munich is also a paradise for food lovers. Traditional Bavarian dishes like pretzels, sausages, and schnitzel are delicious, and the local beer culture is impressive. Visiting a traditional beer garden was definitely a highlight of my trip. The people were friendly and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere felt safe and comfortable. Whether you're interested in history, culture, food, or simply enjoying a vibrant European city, Munich is a fantastic destination that I would highly recommend.

Munich is a huge city with a lot of places to see.

Munich is a huge city with a lot of places to see. The trains, trams, and buses were everywhere but it took a minute to figure them out. Once we did, it was a breeze getting around. We spent a lot of time in old town Munich because it was so beautiful, especially at night. We found the best pizza at a place called Soul Kitchen. And the best authentic Bavarian food at Hoffbrauhaus which was an amazing, energetic, and fun place to visit, drink, and eat. The food and service was incredible! We did not enjoy the food at Augustiner Brau Munchen but the building was beautiful. We visited our fair share of bars and, by far, our favorite was the Zephyr, extremely small but so beautiful with amazing drinks. We also really enjoyed the Scholar's Lounge, Irish bar. Also, don't miss the Viktualienmarkt, the freshest, best food can be found there, especially if you're looking for sausages! We loved the museum Alte Pinakothek with the Raphael and Durer exhibitions, plus the Botticelli, Rubens, DaVinci and Rembrandt paintings were out of this world. Just be sure to leave plenty of time, it is huge. We went to the Nymphenburg Palace but it was closed, the hours listed online were different from the actual hours so we walked the incredibly beautiful property and then went to the museum nearby called the Museum of Man and Nature where there was an amazing photographic exhibition. Of course, we visited Dachau which is a must. It was quite a sobering experience.

The room was very spacious, full of light, with heating that could be regulated individually. The hotel is within walking distance to the main train station, and the city centre, yet silent enough to allow one to sleep comfortably throughout the night. The buffet breakfast was quite good, and the Italian restaurant downstairs offered a good selection of Italian food which we tried out on multiple evenings. Will certainly opt for this hotel if we are to return to Munich.

We needed a hotel that was in easy reach from the airport by car with parking as well as being easy to reach Munich centre. The hotel delivered just that, super easy to find and ample parking (for a fee) in the garage below the hotel. The U-Bahn station is just around the corner and it's only a few stops into Munich city centre. There are also a few restaurants around so you can just have a bite to eat in the vicinity.
