The must-visit city in Germany. Not too big but the number of medieval architecture is amazing and overwhelming. Perfect place to stay one or two days and enjoy beautyfull old town, castle hill, museum (Lyonel Feininger in particular) and try some local cheescase (they offer 193 different types of this cake!).Cieliczko - Scored 8.08.0

It is a lovely small town. Easy to walk around and see the sights. Lots of restaurants and cafes, it is advisable to make reservations for dinner. Quedlinburg is a beautiful market town with a multitude of cobbled lanes, fachwerk/half-timbered houses as well as a huge choise of cafes, restaurants and shops. The Schloss and the market square appear to be the two focal points of the town but there is plenty to see if you explore the quieter lanes away from the tourist centre. One thing to be aware of - the town is not the best for wheelchair and disabled access due to the cobbled streets and lanes.DavidGermany - Scored 8.08.0

There isn't much to do, see or eat during evening unless you happen to be in the very center. For this visit I was not. City itself has a really pleasant and historic look to it, view from the castle is also good. This city is served by the Harzer Schmalspurbahn. A beautiful and historic town with a wealth of sites to visit - castle, churches, museums and just wandering about the old town. I was only there for 24 hours and would have loved to stay longer. If you are only there for a brief visit, do check in advance that any particular things you want to see are open; some were closed when I was there on a Monday. But I still didn't feel short changed.

The hotel has paid outside parking and the parking spots have decent space for a normal car (we travelled in a compact hatchback), but there are only a few available. While the room was not very big, it exceeded my expectations on how well it was equipped! For a building this old to look this nice, I must say, I was really impressed!
