This was our second stay at this location. We found the view to be outstanding and staying in a historic castle/fort fun. This facility is always in excellent condition and very clean. We appreciated having the option to rent all the beds in the room so our stay was private. Our private bathroom was perfect. The breakfast was well organized, generous, presented in a hygienic manner and delicious. The museum in the adjoining building is really great and well worth a visit. There is a wonderful restaurant available next to the museum with an outstanding panoramic view. We really enjoyed lunch there but they were totally booked for dinner. Be sure to make reservations ahead of time for the evening meal. We took the foot path down to town for dinner (the German restaurant right across the bridge was great) and the return back up the hill wasn’t as bad as we thought it would be.

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
