We spent a wonderful four days with our family at this hotel. It's a beautiful historic building, with comfortable modern rooms, a wonderful breakfast, and very welcoming hosts. The hotel also has a restaurant renowned in the region. We had a wonderful dinner there—both the food and the service were excellent. We'd love to return to this welcoming home. Many thanks and best wishes for your continued prosperity.

The owner was very caring. He provided us not only with some useful visitors' tips but also with some interesting “insider-stories” about the location. The view from the room balcony is simply astonishing, breakfast delicious and, again, with amazing window view. The entire house gives a sense of Bayern. We loved it.

Friendly helpful staff, beautiful surroundings, wonderful breakfast, comfortable terrace with lovely views

Clean, nice view, smiling wellcoming team, great clean and quiet sauna area

We loved everything in this hotel. When we arrived, there was a large parking space right beside the hotel. Therefore, we didn't have any problem to park our car. On entering the hotel, we were welcomed and given our room keys, as well as given information about restaurant opening times and breakfast times. The restaurant at this hotel was excellent. The menu came with a good choice and the food was excellent. Dessert was also delicious. We also loved the atmosphere at the restaurant. Breakfast was also nice and good. The staff at the restaurant and during breakfast were all kind, helpful, and giving an excellent service. The room was clean and with enough space. The balcony overlooked the parking area, with a good view of the road and the mountains. I would choose this hotel again if I decide to go to this location again in the future. I would highly recommend staying at Landgasthof Sonnenhof to anyone travelling in this area. We just loved it!

This is a fabulous hotel to enjoy beautiful Mittenwald. Our room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the stunning mountain. The air-conditioning was very welcome in the heat and the breakfast was great. The staff provided excellent tips for dinner and hiking. Do yourself a favour and hike the hour up to Lautersee. A swim in an alpine lake is amazing and there are plenty of facilities up there. If arriving by train to the hotel, you need to cross to the other side of the tracks. If you stand facing the huge mountain with the station behind you, the crossing is at the far left of the platform down a small ramp.

Great hotel! The hotel is located on a hill, which makes the view from it simply incredible. Inside, an interesting interior creates a feeling of being a guest. The service is pleasant, the breakfast is quite sufficient, the coffee is very tasty. Right behind the hotel is a road to picturesque lakes. The room was clean and equipped. Excellent sauna and massage option.

Quiet room, comfortable bed, nice walk-in rain shower, variety of fruit at breakfast, mini fridge in the room.

Felt like i’am in a Bavarian family, super nice service, clean - will return back!

This was our second stay at the hotel, and like last time we were not disappointed, excellent in every way. we look forward to coming back as soon as possible.

Location in Oberschönau was an oasis. Very enjoyable grounds after a day of hikes and tours. Refreshing pool. I really enjoyed my stay. Treat yourself!

The property looks fantastic and fancy, well designed, the parking space is enough for guests, the outside area has amazing view of Walchensee. The food is homemade and tasty, we were fully enjoyed.

Divine !! The room - authentic, all wood, balcony, great view, full mini bar included, parking space as well. The hotel - huge, 2 restaurants, super nice design. The pool, quite bigger than initially expected. Great outdoor garden and the breakfast… insane!!! Organic, full of options, great products, superb !!!
