The reception was first class, great warm welcome. The room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was a little small but was sufficient. The food in the restaurant was amazing and would be highly recommended. The sm9ked scallop was to die for. Great breakfast with plenty of choice if both hotcakes cokd food. Highly recommended. Would happily stay again.

Excellent location for travellers, it is located close enough to the highway to reach it quickly but far enough so the environment is nice, safe and quiet. The room was ok, it isn't the most aesthetically pleasing room I have been to, but it has everything you need to sleep and take a shower which is what you need from a hotel. Everything was clean and comfortable, and there is plenty of space for parking. Breakfast was really nice with many sweet and savoury options and everything was really tasty and fresh.

Birkende was a wonderful place to stay while I was in Denmark for a conference! Conny was so welcoming and hospitable. When my travel plans got upended and I came in a day late, tired, jet-lagged, and hungry, she met me on the property and prepared a fabulous lunch of coffee, juice, meats, cheeses, fruits, and breads for me (because I had missed breakfast). This thoughtful touch to ensure the comfort of her guest was so sincerely appreciated! The room was cozy and comfortable, with everything I needed during my stay. The breakfasts were delicious and prepared early, so I could eat before flitting off for full days at my conference. And the property is peaceful and simply stunning (including their gorgeous grapevines and koi pond). It is well situated for a short drive through the beautiful countryside to both Kerteminde and Odense. I couldn't have asked for anything more!
