I’m in Ecuador for about 6 months each year. This was my first stay at La Casa del Rio and it will not be my last! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I was unfortunately sick for 2 days of my time there, but it was still incredible! I had no idea when I booked this place how beautiful it would be. It was so peaceful, with only the sounds of nature to lull me to sleep. Beauty surrounds you at every turn. Breakfast was amazing, and our hosts, including sweet, little Blue, were even more amazing! They are kind, helpful and attentive. The pool is beautiful and relaxing as well! The room has a ceiling fan and screens in the windows! (A treat here in Ecuador) Only 5 minutes from town, but you feel like you are in your own private oasis! I HIGHLY recommend it!!

This property is extremely well-maintained and has beautiful surroundings! The owner was absolutely fantastic and was flexible as our timing changed a couple times. The breakfast was delicious both mornings - would highly recommend!
