The breakfast was fine. Fresh beledi bread every day with cheese, hard boiled egg and hallway. And it was so nice to wake up in the morning and look out at the Nile. What impressed me most was how the manager went out to get my medicine for me so I did not have to walk to the Pharmacy. There is a wonderful restaurant called Orkeed on the floor below the hotel that serves a huge delicious half duck meal - it was so nice not to have to go out and look for a restaurant for lunch and dinner.

This is an excellent choice for those looking for a unique and memorable experience. I'm grateful to Peter for offering outsiders a visit with his family and his village. All were very welcoming and incredible people. Upon my request, Peter also arranged for me a driver (Martin, a great guy himself) to the Virgin Mary Church at Gabal Al Tayr and we stopped at the Moving Church along the way. Peter joined me as well and translated for me. Afterward we visited Minya city for a bit. It was a great day.  Highly recommended if you feel it is what you're looking for.
