This hotel has a lovely rustic feel with smart finishes. Eat tasty, homemade meals in the restaurant which samples market produce and enjoy the setting in this Catalan mountain village. The hotel feels like home. Amazing breakfast and the proprietor is such a friendly and nice man.
The hotel is a converted old farmhouse located in the scenic and peaceful town of Llívia, just 15 minutes’ drive from 18 ski resorts. Ski storage and ski equipment hire are available. Absolutely beautiful property. Owners were very kind and accommodating. Bikes were available and we used them often to explore the streets of Llivia. This hotel had a very cozy B&B feel and we felt as if we were the only ones staying on property. We will visit again.
Featuring free WiFi and a terrace, Set Terres - La Villa de Llívia is in the heart of Llivia, 45 mi from Andorra la Vella. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Our host were so friendly and they made everything possible to accommodate our needs. Amazing breakfast despite the covid19 rules (you ask and they serve you), you can get a fresh pressed orange juice, they offer local (from the village) charcuterie and cheese. We were also impressed how clean this property was! On top of it, they are very cautious about the Covid19, they took all the measures possible to make your stay safe! Don t hesitate to go there!
Set in Llivia, Mas Farner - Adults Only offers accommodations with free WiFi and flat-screen TV, as well as a shared lounge and a garden. The host (Oriol) is a perfect host & the continental style breakfast he prepares is fantastic. The hotel & its location are phenomenal... they truly have to be experienced to be believed. Trust me... you'll not be disappointed.
Hostal Rusó SC is in the historic town of Llívia, which belongs to Spain but is entirely within France. This guest house offers rustic accommodations with a traditional restaurant and bar. Offering impressive views of the Cerdanya Valley, Alberg Anna Maria Janer is set in the village of Llivia. Surrounded by forests, this hostel features accommodations with private bathrooms. We were only there for one night. But we really appreciated the friendliness of the locals. Every one we met went out of their way to make us feel welcome. There was the checker at the little grocery where we bought snacks- she literally RAN back to the scale where we were supposed to have weighed the sweets we wanted in order to get us checked out properly. There was the bar owner where we stopped for a couple of pre-dinner libations. He kept coming outside where we were seated to check on us - despite the fact that he had a full house inside, and made sure that we had extra olives, even though we had not ordered tapas And then there were the owners of the little restaurant that we ended up eating at because the place we thought we were going to have dinner was closed for a family emergency. This was the Antic Can Marcell. They specialize in Catalan cuisine. They are a husband/wife (we assume) team, she in the front and he in the back. It was cold, we were "lost" and not used to 8pm dinner time. She let us in to sit at the bar, with a beer, a few minutes early... And then we were seated for dinner. We do not speak Spanish or Catalan. She did not speak English or French. We proceeded to have fun navigating the menu and ordering. It was a very special tourist moment. Thank God she put up with us. All that being said - the food and service was truly, very truly, really good. Really- go there.
Highly scenic mountain setting; a fairly small and limited town but with some historic architecture in the center. There's a distinct, even unique appeal to the location in a Spanish exclave surrounded by France. Late dining hours confirm, however, that you're definitely in Spain!
A small town that's perfect for a short break at any time of the year. Plenty of walking in surrounding landscape. Relaxed, friendly. Enough shops, pharmacy, post office, bank (plus petrol station with 95 at price considerably lower than neighbouring France) and loads of restaurants. Ate at Cal Cofa (hugely friendly, complimentary sangria, good value with some truly local recipes) and twice at Can Ventura (beautiful interior, good value menu du jour otherwise more expensive but still good, complimentary Torb - a delicious local digestif). Both are recommended on TripAdvisor. We walked in sunshine - and saw Team Sky and others arrive for the Llivia stage of the 2017 Volta a Catalunya cycle race. Next morning we left in a snow storm: no good at all for the cyclists but an exciting finale for us.
Livia is a nice experience with high standard hotels and quality restaurants in a picturesque stone built village. Much more sophistcated than France and Spain. More like Switzerland. Prices are in mid or upper range but still reasonable.
The hotel feels like home. Amazing breakfast and the proprietor is such a friendly and nice man.
Great location in centre of LLivia with parking, nice breakfast included
