The cathedral is the big draw of the city, and so, too, is the wonderful, and FREE, fine arts museum virtually adjacent to the cathedral. The city was very pleasant, and the El Fontán market square (clothes, shoes, lingerie, etc.), which was bustling with stalls - and people - was fun to wander around in. The adjacent market area had many restaurants and other eateries, and was also full of people. I enjoyed seeing many bronze statues all over the city (my favorite was of a woman seated on a wooden bench, and I enjoyed sitting on the bench next to the bronze sculpture.) I saw bronze sculptures in virtually all towns in Northern Spain. I had a good time exploring the city, and saw much more than just the touristy areas, which was nice.

One of the most beautiful cities I have ever been.
One of the most beautiful cities I have ever been. Very alive city, everybody is out having fun! Nice restaurants and food everywhere. The city is very quiet and clean, this is impressive. The city center has nice old buildings and churches and big pedestrian areas. It is also one of safest cities I have ever been. Very close you can find beatiful villages and cities with big history and nice medieval old town like Aviles. Driving in Spain is safe and nice experience.

A beautiful little city with enough to see in a long weekend. Lots of places to eat and drink. If you want to cater for your own food there are plenty of medium sized supermarkets and one large one. The old quarter is particularly pretty. Visited on Ascension weekend - 10-13 May 2024 - with lots going on: lots food huts in the centre selling the local cheese, and other local food produce. Excellent local marching bands and a large craft fair.

Lovely city full of life!
Lovely city full of life! Clean, safe, amazing restaurants, cafes, bakeries.
Great visits to the art museum (free!) and Cathedral (fee with a guide via QR code on your phone).
Just walking around the city gives good vibes.
Also a very big mall with food court in case you want to shop (or kill time on rainy days.)
Surrounding villages on the coast have amazing views and crazy high waves that crash into the cliffs.

The cleanest, friendliest city in Spain.
The cleanest, friendliest city in Spain. I have never seen so many council workers sweeping a city before, incredibly clean. A must visit for everyone. The architecture is incredible, old & new together but not clashing. Museums, art, history and great cafe/bars etc all within walking distance, no taxis required.
The hotel is well situated in the middle of Oviedo and right on a street full of restaurants/sidrerias where we enjoyed having lunch.
The room was very spacious, beds were comfortable and we appreciated having windows that one could open to refreshen up.
We enjoyed the breakfast offering, having some local food and the standard buffet. The staff at the breakfast room were incredibly nice.
Super location. Check in was good and taxi called in the morning in one minute. We loved the spaciousness and great room. Leaving before 7 a m there is a mini take away breakfast for travelers free. Nice option. Oviedos had lovely squares, the great museum and this hotel os within the circle of all thus including walkable coder restaurants.
The hotel is right in the heart of the city. Only about 2 minutes walk from Oviedo Cathedral. I got a room towards the courtyard, which turned out to be perfect. I can imagine that a room against the square might become a bit noisy late in the evening. The cleaning was exceptionally good 😊. I can highly recommend this hotel.
It’s sited centrally in Oviedo, ideal for visitors. It has a garage so your car can be secure ( for a price) Our room was fine, as were the staff, but we got the feel that this was more a hotel for business folk. We dined there one night, and the restaurant was better designed than the food. Breakfast was fine.
New and stylish hotel in the centre of Oviedo. There is a car park below the hotel that is accessible through the lift in the building. The rooms are spacious and clean.
