Pollença has so much to offer, the old town is full of outstanding buildings and history, plenty of places to eat or just enjoy a drink whilst relaxing and taking in the atmosphere. The locals are very friendly and welcoming. There is a market on a Sunday where you can buy fresh produce, artisan goods and much more, it gets very busy so be sure to get down early. Calvari steps are a must, it is hard going but you can stop and take a break once up as there is a small place selling drinks etc, the view is worth the walk up, you can drive up, however it can prove difficult as the roads are very narrow and steep. Be sure to sample some of pollença almond cake, delicious with a nice coffee, ample choice of places to eat, Enjoy, a beautiful place 😊

Love, love, loved Pollenca for our family holiday. Beautiful traditional centre, lots of amazing restaurants, fantastic base for driving around island. Wouldn't choose to stay anywhere else in Mallorca.

Have been holidaying in Puerto Pollenca for 30 years, excellent place for couples and families. Beautiful long sandy beach. Excellent places to eat that never disappoint, are La Terrassa at the Illa D'Or hotel at the end of the pine walk (expensive but worth it) for the picturesque location and excellent food, and Tolo's restaurant, which has excellent Mallorcan cuisine. Embat beach bar near the hotel Uyal is also great for lunch, cocktails and live music, the locals love it! staying centrally and walking is the most common setup, but we have enjoyed staying in a villa with a car too, gives you more freedom to explore Alcudia and Formentor at your own pace.

Majorca and the Pollença area were a very pleasant surprise - absolutely stunning scenery such diverse geography - bits felt like the Caribbean then south of France then amazing Mountains. The old Town is beautiful but the bay is so clean and classy, Alcúdia old Town is also a few minutes away and so is Formentor at the edge of the Island. So many of the best bits of Majorca are within easy reach of Pollença but obviously a car is a necessity if you want to get about. That said you could spend a week on the beach loads of lovely restaurants and bars - and then taxi into the old Town as they are a few minutes apart. If you do hire a car go For one as small as practicable - it’s not a huge island and the roads are really narrow. Also if you travel from the airport it’s never further than about 50 minutes so make do with some bags on laps - trust me you will see why when you are squeezing through some of the roads ! If you get to the old town and want a fab wood fired pizza try Trencadora - I make my own but we went there three times they do a Volcano pizza with Nduja on its fantastic. Also try to eat at one of the restaurants that sits out on the jetty in Pollensa bay - fantastic as the sun goes down. We didn’t come across one bit of poor service and really felt for them as the virus has hit the economy hard - overall it’s a stunning part of the country and spotless. The water is crystal clear and the sand - particularly Alcúdia beach - was like flour. Great place, people, food and we are already talking about returning.

Pollenca is a lovely old town but staying for a week between Christmas and New Year we found it a little bit quiet. Having said that we had a hire car so were able to explore the Island with ease, which was lovely. The market on Sunday is well worth a visit and the church in the square was open then, which is beautiful.

Pollenca/Port de pollenca are ideal for families with many excellent attractions. The two resorts are quite different with Polenca having a mountain feel whilst Port de Pollenca is on a very attractive seafront. The standard of restaurant in both places was of a very high standard and we would recommend the resorts without a doubt
