Very helpful recepcionist, she gave us very good recommendations for food, views and visits. Grecorooms

Grecorooms

Toledo City Centre, Toledo

Located in Toledo, within a 10-minute walk of Seminario and 300 yards of Casa-Museo de El Greco, Grecorooms provides accommodations with a terrace and a shared lounge, and free WiFi. I loved this hotel. Filled with art and smiles. Everything about the interior was perfect. Great attention paid to the details. Location great. Simple breakfast. My first time to try the toasted bread with fresh tomato purée and olive oil. Theirs was delicious. Coffee great. Beds and pillows were perfect(I am very picky about both). Immaculate. Small bath but well laid out. Shower only but plenty of hot water and pressure. Although the room is small the light. mirrors and artwork in the room made the feeling warm and spacious. English was very limited but we always seemed to be able to communicate what we wanted with a smile. They made us feel very welcome.

Entre Dos Aguas Hotel Boutique

Entre Dos Aguas Hotel Boutique

Toledo City Centre, Toledo

Formerly the Spanish guitarist Paco de Lucia's house, Entre Dos Aguas Hotel Boutique is set in the Toledo City Center district, in front of Convento de Santo Domingo. It features air-conditioned... A wonderful, small six bedroom hotel where the great Spanish guitarist Paco De Lucia lived . The two managers stressed from the moment you entered that they wanted you to feel this was your home while you’re there. The two managers don’t live in the hotel, but are very responsive to text, email or mobile. We were lucky enough to get the room Paco slept in - very big and spacious. We were provided keys to the front door as well as our bedroom so came and went whenever we wanted. Breakfast was amazing! One of the best homemade breakfasts ever. All traditional Spanish dishes. And perhaps the grand finale for us was the fantastic rooftop patio with a breathtaking view of the area and sunsets of brilliant orange that took your breath away. One night there was four couples up there watching the sun go down. Had six tables on the patio so you had the choice of socializing with others or just enjoying with your spouse/partner. They also had a full bar and wine area that was honour based. If you wanted a glass or bottle of wine, you simply took what you wanted and checked a price list with your room number. Very convenient!

Eugenia de Montijo, Autograph Collection

Eugenia de Montijo, Autograph Collection

Toledo City Centre, Toledo

This former palace of the Empress Eugenia de Montijo offers style and comfort in the heart of Toledo, 656 feet from Toledo Cathedral. Outstanding service from the moment we arrived until we departed. The location is superb--easy walking distance from/to all major sites in the city. Used a cab to get to restaurants at night due to dark, narrow roadways/streets, and to get to the railroad station for the trip back to Madrid. Train service was on-time, with multiple convenient times, and the train and station are spotless. Generally the cost of a taxi was only 5-7 Euro. We stayed in a suite, which, in the states a comparable unit would have cost 3-5X more. My wife used the spa which she said was amazing for a massage and facial, at far lower costs than in the states. The breakfasts were large with a great variety of foods, and they were able to accommodate my gluten allergy without any fuss. We ate one dinner in the hotel--very good variety of special regional foods, at a fair cost. Excellent wine selection! Overall a wonderful place to stay for a long holiday weekend in a fascinating, historic city. We would use them again, and highly recommend it to anyone able to walk without difficulty. The city itself would be difficult to get around if one were handicapped or had knee or hip issues--no reflection on the hotel. It's an ancient city built on a hill with roads hundreds of years old, built centuries before cars were invented!
