Located in Kemi, Hotelli Toivola features a bar, shared lounge, garden, and free WiFi throughout the property. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. There are in Kemi two really pleasant hotels, Toivola is one of them. This was my third stay in Hotel Toivola. The room I got was as good as the other I've had in this hotel. There's a water kettle (very important), a fridge, a good bathroom and bed et cetera, et cetera. I had asked for and got a quiet room.
Located in Kemi, Putiikkihotelli Kemi 1932 features a bar, garden, terrace, and free WiFi throughout the property. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. The shower was the best I have experienced since I started my current trip in early July. Because of both the shower head, but also because of how clean the bathroom was. The bed was great too, but nothing too special. The staff was the main selling point. Even though with the current corona situation their breakfast was officially from 8 to 10 or something, because I had to leave early, they were ready to go at 6:30 for me and even made me a lunch bag!
Only 656 feet from the Kemi Bus Station and 1640 feet from the train station, Hotel Palomestari offers functional accommodations with free breakfast, WiFi and parking. amazing staff, very helpful. the room was recently refurbished and very big. great value for the price
This hotel is located by the Gulf of Bothnia, less than a 20-minute walk from the Kemi SnowCastle. It offers 3 saunas, an indoor swimming pool, as well as an on-site restaurant and bar. Booked a room for my parents who don't speak English. They were taken good care of! I am grateful to the sweet and considerate staff - Thank you! My folks were very happy about their stay and the people they met at the hotel!

Set in Kemi, HOSTEL TOIVOLA has a bar. Among the facilities at this property are a shared kitchen and a shared lounge, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The staff was amazing, we met a lovely lady who showed us to our room and was genuinely friendly. We stayed in a 3 bed hostel room that was very basic but had everything you need =comfy bed. The free sauna in the evening was a wonderful surprise!
Hotel Yöpuu is in southern Kemi, next to European Route E8 and a 5-minute drive from the city center. It offers international cuisine, free sauna access and free parking. I loved the people here, so friendly and helpful.

Great xcountry skiing during winter, some very nice architecture can also be seen, if you like nordic cozy-style.Once the sun is up longer, it is flooded with light, especially in late winter, early spring, with all the snow. Take UV-blocking glasses with you, if you ski around on open spaces like sea!
What is there to do in Kemi - not much in winter but the Snow Castle is definitely worth a visit as is exploring the adjacent frozen sea since not every day you get to walk on the sea. Pretty pink church but all locked up so cannot go in.
The apartment is located between the train/bus station and the snow castle - both less than a km. There is also a supermarket down the street which was very convenient. The apartment is spacious with lovely areas to enjoy. The kitchen is furnished with all the amenities needed and the small but cosy dining area in the kitchen has a nice view over the park between the apartment buildings (a nice play area for children in the summer). The small veranda is also a nice space to drink coffee/wine and to watch the snow falling down.
The staff is what made our stay at Scandic Kemi absolutely delightful. They were very friendly and would help us with any and all questions which we had. In particular, we dealt a lot with Marita Kouri and she was a really nice and kind person who always greeted us with a genuine smile and shared insights about Finnish culture. The other staff were great as well and were ready to help us when needed. You will always be greeted with a warm smile here. I would definitely recommend staying here.
The restaurant on site was quite good for dinner and buffet breakfast at the hotel was excellent, a lot of options to choose from. The room was warm, spacious and comfortable, and the shower was great (proper curtain and bathtub, so no wet floor afterwards). Walking distance to the train and bus station.
We arrived earlier than the check in time and the staff, even if not in the hotel, helped us by phone. Good wifi connection. There is a kitchen, where a guest could cook something, or just sit down and eat.
Very clean hotel and they serve good breakfast because they own a burger store next door so the food the always fresh. Parking if free and right onsite.
We stayed at this hotel for only 12 hours during a stopover in Kemi. The amenities were quite basic, but were sufficient for our time there.
Nice atmosphere, cosy hotel with very friendly stuff and good breakfast, free parking at hotel and flexible Check in and check out
I went in, saw the location , saw the lady at the reception, and at that moment I knew Finland was awesome.
New, tiny, nothing like worlds best luxury hotel. You carry your own bags..etc
The novelty factor of staying in a snow castle. That's basically it.
