Northern Lights Huts is located on an old reindeer farm which has been owned and run by the same family for over 170 years. The huts were so much better than we expected. It had a nice cozy fluffy bed, wooden cupboards and a lavish shower and bathroom. They have a reindeer farm and there are snowmobile and skiing tracks all around the place. Also a cafe in the midst. It was a lovely calm and quiet place. We were lucky to see the northern lights on the day we stayed. The place and the lights together.. it was a day out of a fairy tale!

Amazing place, totally recommended. we slept in Levi northern lights huts, in a glass igloo, was an amazing experience to sleep under the beautifully clear and full of stars sky. then we took a reindeer tour at the same place. Snowmobile trip for 2 hours in Levi center with the finish fika it was great. then we did the ICEkarting which is an out of the world activity, so much fun !. We will surely go back.
Everything is quite expensive and touristy. You even have no chance to see reindeers, dogs and ride them without prior booking and the prices are ridiculous. The selection of restaurants is good for Finland but still very limited. Don't go to Rovaniemi to meet Santa! They are got insane there with the demanding money for every step. Try the Elves Village in Tonttula not far from Levi, Santa visits them every Wednesday.
Levi is a great resort with plenty of choice of bars and restaurants to suit everybody. For non-skiers there is plenty of other activities such as horse riding, husky and reindeer safari and snowmobiling to name but a few. It is best to stay fairly central as once the ski bus stops you will have to walk the centre or get a taxi
Levi isn’t for the hardcore skiers but is an amazing destination for those who want to experience the magic of winter in the Arctic Circle, and particularly special for a family to visit at Christmas time.
Word of warning about taxis in Levi: They start their meter way before they pick you up. One lady taxi driver deliberately passed us by, went about 50 m down the street, waited for 5 mins and uturned back to pick us up just to run up the taxi meter for extra charge. The taxi to airport had run a Euro 14.6 charge on the meter when he arrived at the reception to pick us up! Seems to be common practice there...
Lots of winter activities to do including snow mobiling , husky sledding , Reindeer sledding & feeding , ice fishing ,Snow dome bar, skiing & Samiland exhibition. Tourist information centre can arrange bookings for a fee. People were very friendly and lots of people spoke Finnish & English . Lots of restaurants & bars to choose from with a Handy public transportation. Most places have wifi .
An authentic Finnish family own and run the igloos and reindeer safaris in their farm outside Levi. It gives you a real feel for the environment and their lovely hospitality. They offer a genuine guest house stay w igloos, sauna and snow play and lovely meals cooked in their own kitchen in evening if you wish. We opted for the dinners for our two night stay and they were delicious- giving you a real Finnish Lapland meal added to our experience and both were very tasty. It also gave you opportunity to converse and chat w the owners.
The house was spotless, with all the amenities you might need for your stay. Super comfortable and surrounded by a few other houses in a really quiet area. 15 minute walk to Levi which it’s not too bad. Wonderful views to the forrest from the house. Heated floors and the fireplace made the stay really cosy. House was really well insulated if you consider it was -30 when we were there, and not once we felt cold in the house! Super easy self check in with no hassle whatsoever. Will definitely go back!
Levi is a great location to spend vacations. Many options. Hotel location is great, many restaurants around. Family appartments are big and peaceful. Breakfast is complete, plenty fruits, oats, eggs, etc. S-Super market is at walking distance, every day were buying fruits and water. Our daughter is allergic to chemicals and milk, we struggle a bit with the food. The Wanha grill restaurant did the trick for us with nicely cooked chicken, French fries. We loved the Reinder Burguers.
Lovely, cosy apartment in the centre of Levi. Ideal location close to supermarket and ski slopes. We visited with our two children and found the apartment comfortable and warm and had everything we needed. Beds were really comfortable too! Perfect entrance hall for storing and drying all ski wear. We had a great time and would definitely stay again.
Location was excellent next to the ski lift and cross country tracks and kids slope. Also shops etc very close. The rooms were cosy and had everything we needed (exept a good knife). The rooms were on two floors which was good for dividing the company when children needed to sleep. It was warm and we had good sauna. Great stay in Levi!
Very cozy and clean. Quiet aparthotel to relax after a visit to the slope, running track, safari, just walking. Shops and restaurants in quick availability either by bus or by car. Golf course in summer. Two bedrooms, sauna, dining room, kitchen, drying cabinet, refrigerator, and much more. A pile of dishes and accessories. Recommend.
This hotel is wonderful. They have a good cafe and restaurant, my room was beautiful, the staff were friendly and there were tons of facilities (free laundry, sauna, and more). There was a mixup with my booking price and the staff were great about helping with that. It’s also right in the heart of town, close to everything.
We liked the Harry Potter theme of the ice hotel. The experience itself was great. But enough for one night. We were the only guests that night so we had all facilities for ourselves. It was nice to have living room where you could stay before you went to your “ice room”. The sleeping bags kept us really warm.
Lovely view with an amazing breakfast. You could easy stay here for a couple of days and enjoy Levi to the max. We asked for a room a little bit higher and got a baby crip for our baby. We were able to check a little bit earlier, the staff was just amazing!
The house was perfectly clean and comfortable! The owners are nice and very friendly. We loved the location, the house is right in the woods with a nice view. Our staying in Levi was great mostly because of this wonderful house. Thanks a lot to the owners! 😊
Levikaira 6 was a lovely wood cabin. Good location for everything. Clean and all complete with all desired equipment. Really good communication from Anna from booking to arrival. Thanks
Great situation in the hear of Levi. Close to everything you could want or need but also 2 minutes away from nature and forest. Very pleasant, fully equipped, and extremely functional.
Lifetime experience. Very unusual and impressive hotel. Comfortable, spacious, functional, and private igloo. Clean. Personal Bluetooth music system in the room.
it’s isolated from all Levi city noises, at the same time it’s a 5 minutes ride with a bicycle to the village and slopes!
The apartments were in the center of Levi, they had great saounas and had all the cutlery needed!!
The bed is very comfortable, the location is great (next to Levi tourist center and the ski lift)
I liked the location being at proximity from everything and the activity in the hotel
Very cosy appartement in the heart of Levi. Everything is walking distance.
A true gem in the lappish countryside. The staff is awesome (tx for a great stay - Tom, Heini and Minna) and the villa is absolute top class
Amazing apartment in fantastic location. Lovely views.
