Walking in to Lomani was truly a "WOW" moment and you instantly fall in love. Lomani has the most incredible view up on the hill of the Somosomo Straight right from it's own pool, it honestly doesn't feel real! We cooked our own breakfast in the large kitchen, loved roaming the grounds to find fruits (like pineapples) and tropical flowers. The wifi and Netflix are awesome additions too, but we just found ourselves enjoying switching off and gazing into the stunning sunsets and showered under the stars. Knox was so helpful and picked us up from the ferry, drove us to the shops for supplies, and lots of activities, including the beautiful Bouma falls and we also snorkelled the insanely colourful rainbow reef (amazing dive shop just down the road!). Our experience was enriched greatly by Knox and we enjoyed our time getting to know him. Saskia is also a fabulous host who communicated everything we needed to know before our stay. Glass bottom kayaks and snorkel gear are also available but sadly we ran out of time to use them. There are so many activities to chose from, or equally opportunities to just relax, recharge, and connect with nature and each other. Knox even worked tirelessly all day to cook us a traditional Lovo on our final night at Lomani, which was so delicious and very memorable. It rained quite heavily during our time but it didn't dampen our experience at all. Lomani is a quaint cottage that feels cosy and spacious like home (but with ten times more incredible views). There is something deeply special about Lomani and we hope to return one day but stay longer than three nights. Taveuni is a tranquil, quiet, lush garden island teaming with wildlife, fruit, flowers and creatures (like frogs and geckos), along with such kind hearted people. Unlike anywhere we have ever been before. We are from a busy city and loved how Taveuni is the opposite.

Vina offered great hospitality. We would have stayed longer if we had known more about the rooms. Vina picked us up from the airport and was very friendly. Restaurants are walking distance, a market with groceries was also nearby. We snorkeled from the sandy beach across the road. Simple pleasures of Fiji are here.

The property is a homestay so if you want resort style facilities look elsewhere. For those looking for a homestay you can’t find better. The hosts Luis and Sunshine and their extended family in the village are so warm and welcoming.

Sam and Sarah have the ability to make people feel welcomed, and part of the family. Home cooked meals, freshly picked fruit, telling stories, the feeling of being home - these are things that can't be found at luxury resorts. During our stay, my partner and I did not have to worry about transportation, or going hungry; everything we needed was there. Sam would drive us around Taveuni, teaching us about Fijian culture, showing us different parts of the island, and showing off his witty sense of humor. Sarah made sure all of our needs were taken care of, offering us delicious food, teaching us things like how to pick fruit, and showing us how to cook authentic Fijian meals. Together, they work harmoniously to really make Aeroview what it is - a well-run, welcoming home. Sam, Sarah, and their family, showed us true Fijian hospitality, and created one of my favorite travel experiences.

This spot is a strategically located homestay near the islands airport, less then 5 mins walk, as well as a good starter point for island activities; walking or driving. A welcoming tourist friendly area that was hospitable, well priced, and had a great attitude all around. They have Internet/wifi.
