Big room, lovely location, great staff. Nice view, we were at the annex building. Comfortable bed. We were lucky that we got to change our booking by one day due to some flight issues even if the reservation was already paid, though communication was better by email than via here. Book your dinner in advance, there isn't anything else nearby anyway. Good food there, breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Location in Vestmanna was right next to the bus stop. Good service to Thorshavn & Vagar Airport, but most travellers hire a car. Shop & bar not so near, but nowhere is far in Vestmanna (15-20 mins on foot). The hostel is self-catering but the host, Kristjan is very generous, for example offering his mother's delicious homemade rhubarb jam! There is quite a lot of shared food left by other visitors, so if anti-food waste is your ethos, you'll make a saving.

Amazing place! Due to its location it's a great base to explore most of the islands and at the same time it's very quiet and peaceful, so you can really relax here after a long day. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking, the flat is modern, spacious and comfortable, one of the best I have ever stayed in. There is nothing we missed, I only wish we stayed here longer.
