This is a beautiful, unique, and historic chateau in one of the most lovely valleys in France. The room was exceptional, with gorgeous views across the valley. Breakfast was offered in a stately wood-paneled dining room with a fire crackling in the fireplace. Caroline and Virgile, the young couple who have restored the chateau, were welcoming and always helpful. Highly recommended.

The perfect hostess .. warm, friendly, nothing is too much trouble, but without being overly familiar. The swimming pool, of course. And the rural location, including nuthatches just metres from where we ate breakfast!
