This is a tiny old house with a super friendly host living next door. It's located in the middle of nowhere in the best possible meaning, with private parking and free street parking. The facilities are minimalistic but including everything you need. The only problem was that it's a bit dusty - so avoid in case of asthma, otherwise highly recommended!

The hotel was nicely situated within the castle boundaries of the small town. Simple room, but with a fan (which was nice because of the high temperature upon arrival).

Auberge Saint-Jean has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Villequier-Aumont.

On arrival we were very impressed and admired the lovely flower boxes on the main building and on the grounds! However, check-in hours were NOT as advertised. We arrived on our bicycles at 16:20 hours, when check-in had been advertised from 14:00 hrs to 23:00 hrs. The auberge was completely locked up, with no note of explanation. On calling the owner, Natalie advised she would arrive in 2 hours and then arrived 2 1/2 hours later with no apology!!
