Location: The B&B is located right next to the famous Purple Heart Lane and the Dead man's corner. Less than 20 minutes drive to Utah Beach, Sainte-Mère-Église, Sainte-Marie-du-Mont, Isigny-sur-Mer, Carentan and in the walk distance of the church of Angoville-au-Plain. B&B: This bed and breakfast has an interesting history in WW2, some serious fighting was done in the area. The owner is very kind and helpful, she is always available for questions and excited to share her knowledge and the history of this B&B and the surrounding area in the World War 2 era. The rooms we stayed in were comfortable and very quiet in the evening. We had a great view of the front courtyard and the back garden. The bathroom facilities were modern and clean, it beats even some 3 stars hotels that I've stayed in in the past. The breakfast was delicious with fresh baked bread and different sorts of French cheeses. We even had some homemade crêpes on the first day! The breakfast room was also decorated in various WW2 items. Overall, we had a great stay at this B&B and look forward to returning in the future! 👍

If you are planning to visit the main D-Day spots at Utah, Omaha Beach, etc you should take Domaine Airborne as your main operations camp. This place is unique in Normandy, next to the "D" landing spot of the 101st Airborne Division, you will feel in the middle of the battlefield. This place was used as shelter by german soldiers before the D-Day landing and has been visited by famous 101st airborne veterans. The breakfast is delicious and the rooms are extraordinarily decorated. The owner will give you plenty of recommendations of places to visit and organize your trip. He has many "special" stories to tell if you are truly interested in II World War history. One last thing, before you visit Domaine Airborne, do not forget to watch "Bands of Brothers", you will understand why! Do not miss this place or you will regret!

A comfortable, beautifully decorated and well-appointed apartment located in the heart of Carentan. With an abundance of free parking immediately outside, it’s a perfect location for a couple to use as a base for exploring Utah and Omaha Beaches, St Mere Eglise and the southern end of the Cotentin peninsula. The apartment’s on the second floor and the staircase is relatively narrow, so take smaller / lighter bags with you: if you’ve limited mobility and struggle with stairs, this may not be the best option for you.

The room and hotel in general was very nice. The room was comfy and the attached restaurant was popular with the locals which is always a good sign. As for location, it is perfect for anyone wanting to visit D-Day sites. It's very close to St. Mere Eglise and Utah beach and about a half hour drive to Omaha beach, not to mention Carentan itself.
