The beds are comfortable, the staff is super friendly, the bathrooms are clean and the rooms have a nice design. During my stay I forgot a valuable item. Housekeeping found it the next day and the staff even returned it to me via mail. Very friendly and honest!

An LCD TV features in the modern guest rooms.... Really friendly owners and although their restaurant was closed they suggested an alternative AND drove us there (10 minute walk home).

We had a very large room, more than enough space for two people and a small child. We loved the outdoor area with the warm swimming pool and trampoline. It's at walking distance from the city centre.

I was made to feel very welcome as was my dog and nothing was too much trouble.

After staying in a not very pleasant hotel in Switzerland it was a relief to stay in a clean, comfortable and modern hotel in Chaumont. An ideal location for anybody travelling across France from the UK. The staff were lovely too.

Although we stayed over a Sunday and very little was open, we discovered the amazing viaduct and walked around the historic centre. A visit to the Charles de Gaulle Monument and Museum not very far away is a must!

A nice little town centre,typically French. Had a Croque Monsieur and a couple of drinks seated on the pavement of a local pub,winding down after a long drive from Calais.It's a shame a lot of the restaurants don't start serving meals until 7o'clock.

Chaumont has an ancient centre but it is well disguised.
Chaumont has an ancient centre but it is well disguised. And we walked around for two hours on a chilly night trying to identify somewhere to eat. And it took that long to find somewhere: mind you the St Hubert was good and we had a lovely medium priced meal there. But I dislike piped music in the streets. And I dislike sitting in a bar getting a warm and having almost an outbreak of violence. I think we have seen enough of Chaumont.

Plenty to see, very good tourist office with plenty of information in English. Very much improved since my last visit two years ago, a lot cleaner around the railway station. Plenty of reasonably priced menus in the cafes and restaurants.

Only explored the town Centre but that was not inspiring. We went to Chaumont expecting to view the Chateau but shown on Booking.com web page but never found it! Not even convinced that it was in this “Chaumont”

We particularly enjoyed staying in a peaceful village on the edge of town with good walks and in an independent establishment with its own unique atmosphere. This was personified by the owner who was exceptionally welcoming, personable and attentive throughout as befits someone with a lifetime in hotel management and direction. He offers excellent meals and value for money. Accommodation was basic, but comfortable and warm. The owner has plans and we look forward to another stay.

From $75 per nightIt is a very charming old house with lots of brocante decorations. You wouldn't expect it but there is actually plenty of parking space! The hostess is very nice and likes children. The village of Chaumont has several sights worth a visit, such as a full size replica of a Roman viaduct, as well as a 14th century church featuring twin towers and gargoyles.
