This place was truly exceptional. When we drove up, it felt like something out of a fairy tale - the estate, the grounds, the gardens, the (very well behaved) 4 footed greeting party. The winding forest path you drive down to reach the main house is carpeted with these delicate pink violets. It was amazing. Our room was HUGE. It looked out over the gorgeous back of the property and to the farmers fields beyond. The bed and linens were very comfortable and the bathroom was large, recently remodeled and very modern. The style of the whole place had a beautiful, comfortable curated feel about it. The whole house felt filled with light. The breakfast could be taken in the dining room or outside on the huge terrace. The European style breakfast was plentiful - with several different kinds of bread and pastries and multiple types of jams/marmalades. The coffee was really good. The hosts, Laurent and Christine could not have possibly been more hospitable. For us, they were the very best part of our stay. Charming and friendly, they made us feel very welcome and we cannot wait to come back. This place was a GREAT value for our money.

It was in a beautiful location, lovely chateau, friendly owner. We were halfway between Mt St Michel and the cliffs at Etretat, two of our key day trips. We are a family of 6, and the spacious cottage had plenty of room for all of us, and a great kitchen. Gilles was a great host and always available if we needed anything. Five minutes to an Express U (grocery store).

The property is incredibly clean. It’s smaller but was perfect for our family and comfortable. (There are 1.5 bathrooms). It’s very quiet. The town is nice. A grocery store and restaurants are within minutes. The host was kind and had prepared toys and a highchair for our children. The location is central for traveling around Normandy. Highly recommend.

This was the perfect place for our stay in Caen! Had all the needed components for a stay and we truly appreciated the washing machine as we had been travelling for a bit prior to our stop here, so having the availability to clean some clothes was amazing! Most of what we did in Caen was easily accessible from this location. It was also in a quiet location and tucked away which kept the place cool from the heat (as we are from the USA and used to A/C, haha!) The home was well cleaned and maintained. When/if we had questions or needed assistance the host was quickly ready to help!
