Beautiful medieval town with quaint streets and a lovely farmers market while we were there. The chateau is worth a visit and you get beautiful views from the ramparts and across to the country side and river. Easy to walk everywhere as we were close to town. Chinon is a beautiful old mediaeval town by a large river. Extremely attractive with narrow streets and pretty squares. Lots of bars and restaurants. We could have spent a day exploring, I think, but chose it simply as a conveniently place to rest for the night. They make very good wine, too!Guest review byTimUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Lovely clean, modern facility (more of a bed & breakfast than what I would call a hotel). The host was really helpful & attentive. We had the last available room as it was a last minute booking & our host apologised for the size of the room, but it was absolutely fine for our needs. The hotel is within walking distance of a variety of great restaurants & Chinon is a lovely historic, picturesque town. The manger (owner?) was exceptionally helpful, assisting us with luggage and ensuring we had everything we needed. Most all all we appreciated thier natural kindness. Our room, located in the annex with a courtyard, was very quiet. One of our favorite stays and easy waliking access into the bustling centre of Chinon.
