Castel Fleuri

Castel Fleuri

Tours

Located in the heart of the Vallée de la Loire and its famous castles, Hotel Castel Fleuri offers a warm and friendly welcome in a charming house set in a peaceful residential district of Tours. This hotel completely exceeded my expectations. The staff were unbelievably helpful and friendly. The moment we arrived the girl at reception had a map of the town ready for us and recommendations on what to do. This made our trip as a whole, a lot easier. I would definitely stay here again. It is the staff that make this hotel what it is......from the receptionist, the owner, the girl at breakfast...all brilliant!

ibis budget Tours Nord

ibis budget Tours Nord

Tours

Located in the north of Tours within the business district, ibis budget Tours Nord offers a 24-hour reception, free Wi-Fi access throughout and a terrace. The train station is a 15-minute drive away. We were transiting from the UK to Spain which happens about 2 or 3 times a year. We always stay at the Ibis Budget Tours Nord because it is very well positioned and easy to access. The rooms are sufficient we had 3 rooms because we had children with us in a group of 7 people. The triple room combination of two single beds and the popular bunk-bed was perfect for our group.

A Medieval Gem on the Banks of the Loire River

Nestled on the banks of the Loire River, Tours has a unique blend of architecture and medieval charms in places such as the picturesque Jardin de la Préfecture, Cathedrale St-Gatien, and Le Vieux Tours and its picture-postcard, Place Plumereau.

The 11th-century Tours Castle is a must-see, as is the ancient fortress castle-palace Château de Villandry which is located on the outskirts of the city, surrounded by the charismatic Garden at the Château.

Traditional half-timber buildings, cobble-stone walkways and colorful houses line the streets of the unique and popular medieval district, La Place Plumereau. There are tons of lively pubs and restaurants, and outdoor dining options in the warmer months.

Touraine is a popular wine region with many wine tasting options. Other landmarks to see are the ruins of Basilica of St. Martin and Place Jean Jaurè.

Tours Station has direct rail links to Paris, and Tours Loire Valley Airport has direct flights to London, Porto, Marseille and Dublin. Booking.com offers a wide range of places to stay in Tours to suit all budgets.
