Easy to find off the motorway, free parking with electric charger, lovely clean and comfortable rooms, easy to walk to restaurants, helpful staff (spoke English as well, which was a bonus) and great value for money. Would highly recommend.

We returned after 21 years! On both visits, we used the hotel as a last night stopover before the ferry, on the way back from skiing in the Alps. The building is a friendly family run hotel with a sense of gravitas, linking the past and the present. The owner has been there for 40 years and takes real pride in the business, which is something of an institution. The setting is reassuringly familiar somehow, typically French, with a sense of history and timelessness. It's comfortable, unique, relaxed, and homely, with a traditional feel, in a great historic setting, but with everything you'd expect from a modern hotel. Secure parking on the premises takes all the trouble out of visiting the urban centre.
