Nice, compact town centre, and a good choice of bars and restaurants. Easy parking in the centre of the old town. Great base for exploring the lavender fields on the nearby plateau de Valensole We ate at a restaurant called "La Petite Provencal" which had brilliant staff and gorgeous, fresh local food at very reasonable prices.
I went at the wrong time of the year I think, locals were sullen and not very friendly, I got food poisoning from a well recommended restaurant and in all there isn't much there, two hours covers everything in the town. Groups of young men roaming about at night not inspiring. Best eating Taj Mahal, friendly staff great food, excellent value for money. On your own, avoid.
I loved this place, very nice rooms, big, very clean and comfortable. Staff is very helpful. I was looking for somewhere with parking, and this definetely is perfect, right on site. I would definitely go back there if I am in the area.
We stayed in Manosque for just one night on our way to the Gorges Du Verdon. However, we had one of the best meals of the trip there (L'antre D"eux) and popped into the l'Occitane factory on our way out of town.
Plenty of eating places available and fairly easy to navigate on foot. One needs to be careful if funds are limited, since some of the restaurants are quite expensive. Surprisingly, the quality of food in some of the eateries is not too good. Like most places, there is a palpable difference between the area in summer and winter. The market place area is interesting. Navigating around the area without a Sat. Nav. can be difficult and I did get lost on one occasion - but I was driving in the dark.
the old town,, good shops some late bars and good food went to a first class restaurant called Dominique Vacaville best food I have had in France in over six years and good value for a one star Michelin restaurant.
