Two blocks from friends, a couple of blocks from restaurants very good. Quiet, mostly clean (bath trash emptied only once during my stay). Well equipped kitchen, decent bath, but would be hard to share if it were full with 6 other people

The town is attractive and interesting to wander around, visiting the churches, lavoire etc.. The restaurants we ate at and the cafés are good and the central market a pleasure to stock up on food treats to take home.

An ideal stopover on our way from the Netherlands, Spain, to Portugal. We stayed here on our way there and back and received a very warm welcome. A lovely, cozy, and comfortable detached cottage in a beautiful area. The nearby town of Melle is also worth a visit. A delicious breakfast with fresh bread and croissants in the morning!

We went there for a fun activity.

We went there for a fun activity. However, we took the opportunity to visit the wash houses of Melle and the surrounding area (Javerzay, chef boutonne and Brioux/boutonne). We saw 10 of them and luck was on our side because we saw them full of water.

Melle is a very small town served by buses from Niort.

Melle is a very small town served by buses from Niort. Be aware that the buses are infrequent. But it's easily walkable, as it's on the Camino de Santiago route, so the Airbnb is very convenient! There's a beautiful Romanesque church to see, an arboretum trail... not many shops! Lots of greenery and some retirement homes. Peaceful.

Melle is a lively town. It has all the shops you need.

Melle is a lively town. It has all the shops you need. Moreover, Melle is well located, not far from Niort and La Rochelle. There's plenty to see and do. It's easy to get around Niort. There's a large free car park where there's a market on Fridays. Plenty of green spaces for walking.

Typical old property within walking distance of Melle town centre. Beautiful wooden flooring throughout apart from the kitchen and bathroom. Well appointed, the only criticism would be the lack of hanging space for clothes. Plenty of drawer space however. Nice large patio space with table and chairs in the rear garden. Dishwasher was a bonus!

Everything. We had really enjoyed staying one night the previous year and so were pleased to book two nights this year. We had an even better and lovely room, marvellous breakfast and again great welcome and care by the charming owner. Melle is an interesting town so we had a great time again.

The breakfast was excellent, most especially the homemade almond cake and jams. Splendid décor, both in the bedroom and in the dining room. We were made to feel most welcome. Parking too was easy and Villa Mitsou is within 2 minutes walk of the centre of Melle. Perfect!

Villa Mitsou is a beautiful hotel in a great location in Mille. Room was lovely, breakfast was delicious and the host was exceptional. If you visit Melle this is the perfect place to stay!
