This is a charming and small-scale place on a lovely stretch of beach in Hyères. The staff are exceptionally friendly. Our room was small (with a separate private bathroom) but the gorgeous view of the sea more than compensated for the lack of much space. The emphasis is on simplicity and authenticity. No frills but oozing with charm.

Wonderful island with a lot of great beaches, some of which are perfect for small children. Good hiking and snorkeling on the south side. Very few cars and everywhere is easily reached by bike, which are easy to rent on the island. On the south side of the hotel Medes on Rue de la Douane is a very good casual restaurant / bar in a garden that we can highly recommend for a drink and a light meal of seafood. It doesn't show up on google maps so I can't list the name. It is open between 6-10 pm only.

A beautiful island where life is simple and pleasant and just about everybody is polite, helpful, and smiling. The Place des Armes was enchanting at night, all lit-up. We had a lovely time on the plage de la Courtade and in the village, and did a bit of trekking inland. The views were superb. We had a reasonably good meal at the Auberge des Glycines, and a pleasant stay at Residence Les Medes. My daughter had a sore throat and the local doctor gave her two products that worked rather well. We will return, possibly out of season, to enjoy more of these beautiful islands.

The water was fantastically clear, and the island is well managed in terms of cleanliness, forest maintenance, road use... there are lots of bikes and maybe a bit of 'etiquette' could be introduced. Not like in Denmark or Sweden, but a little bit to improve safety.
Prices are higher than on the mainland but not outrageously so. Cheaper than flying to Guadeloupe and similar beautiful sand beaches.
Everything was great. I booked it last moment, and was so lucky they had a room available. Such a friendly, helpful staff (love you). Fantastic location, beautiful view on the gardens and church and pine trees, very charming energy and style of the building itself. comfy spacious room and bathroom, good bed, little fridge and tea/coffee/water. I will be back. (ps i passed by hotel le mas, you have so much better vibe!)
Really cute local hotel with a lot of heritage, amazing food (sea food is amazing), the staff are all extremely friendly (very good team), bed is very comfortable. Location is super convenient because you are in the village so everything nearby.
People were lovely. The place was clean, the bed and pillows comfy. The breakfast was good and it's nice you can have a drink outside the hotel which is also a restaurant and a bar.
Lovely location on the square in the centre of Porquerolles, close to lots of cafes and restaurants, surprisingly quiet at night. Pretty courtyard garden for drinks and breakfast.
