We love that Saint Emillion retains its ancient character while offering the visitor the best of facilities. Eating out can be pricey but so worthwhile. It can be difficult to get around by car and parking for the night might be difficult in high season. That said, we love it, we will return.
This hotel is a gem. A private oasis in the middle of the old town. Samantha was particularly helpful in helping us make the right choices. Room was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again.
The room has everything . Location is brilliant. The host is exceptional, helpful. The kitchen, bedroom and bathroom are immaculate. It is worth visiting St.Emilion, beautiful village. , good restaurants, tasty wine.
Beautiful village but very hilly with winding cobbled streets. Obviously lots of wine shops but certainly in our opinion The Wine Buff is the most welcoming, run by Paddy O’Flynn and wife Pilar. Would certainly recommend!
We loved Saint Emillion. It’s beautiful and quaint with plenty restaurants. It gets very busy from 11 am until about 4:30 pm then crowds leave & it’s more comfortable. Parking during the busy times is difficult & one must pay €2 per hour between 9am & 12 midday & from 2pm to 7 pm. There’s free parking outside the town where it is also difficult to find a space. Worth a visit but one or two nights is plenty.
Saint Emilion is a wine lover's dream though the wines are very expensive. The Cotes de Castillon is just adjacent with excellent wines and much more reasonable prices. The city is magic with its mediaeval buildings. It is just a great experience.
Saint-Émilion
Location is perfect right in the middle of Saint-Emilion. Steps from restaurants, patisseries, shops, grocery store, wineries. We’ve probably rented about 50 home shares in Europe and this was my favorite on location. The host, Sam, is also wonderful…accommodating on checkin/checkout…great tips for the area…left us some farm fresh eggs, wine, juice, water. Beds, bathrooms, and kitchen all large and very usable. Book it.
Saint-Émilion
Immaculately clean, nice mix of modern and traditional decoration. Feels like a small boutique hotel. About 10-15 mins walk to the centre of St Emillion so perfect for access to the town but with more space than town centre accommodation. Lovely outside gardens and a decent pool & I felt they had taken ‘Covid safe’ practices seriously. All round good experience would definitely stay again.
