A great location with very nice facilities that made for a wonderful night in St Jean. Katarina who ran front of house was charming, welcoming and so lovely to chat to. The breakfast was worth starting my Camino a little later than planned. I would love to return.

When we rose early to hike the first day on the Camino, we were already a mile and a half up the Pyrenees ! Great way to start. It was a treat to watch pilgrims heading up the mountain in the dark before daybreak .

    We had a great stay at Villa Esponda and had a room behind the main building. It was super clean and comfortable. The owner was fantastic and helped using google translate so we could communicate better. This was a restful night before the beginning of the Camino!
