Le Presbytere is off the beaten track, in a small village. If you are looking for a peaceful, stylish environment, with roses round the door, in a genuine French village, this is it. Sévigny-Waleppe is a small village with virtually no facilities - an épicerie near the property with basic foods - but early on a Tuesday morning, the bread that they had in stock wasn't available as it had been pre-ordered! The village's one great feature for travellers is Le Presbytère. We spent a day visiting the small city of Laon, which was enjoyable, with an impressive cathedral (and an excellent hypermarket!), and others would enjoy visiting Reims and the champagne country which are easily accessible. Calais is less than 3 hours' drive away, which makes the location excellent for those travelling from or to England.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom
