I like everything! The kitchen is well equipped with a stovetop, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher(!), a fridge, enough utensils and pans of all kinds for two people to cook and eat comfortably (I was alone), and have a few guests over for dinner. There is also a washer/dryer and an iron and ironing board, and the hostess supplies pods for both the washer and the dishwasher - not something you find everywhere. The bedroom is spacious and tastefully decorated and arranged. The bed is comfortable and very pleasant. There is ample cupboard space and a desk. It has electrically-operated blinds so you can have total darkness in daytime, if you need to sleep in during those early June mornings. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and is spacious, modern and clean. It's also well-lit. The living room is pretty and has a dining table and also a dining bar, so you can eat in a style that suits your preference. There is a TV but I never used it. The toilet is separate from the bathroom which is nice if there are two of you and both are needed at the same time. The apartment is located a couple of minutes' walk from a supermarket (Carrefour Contact), a bank, and several restaurants and bars. Right across the road - so literally seconds away - is a local baker so you can have the freshest baguettes imaginable. And there are other shops nearby, all in walking distance. Best of all, the hostess was kind, thoughtful and helpful. It makes all the difference. Agnes lives next door and is attentive. I arrived very late after a long journey from Paris, and she made sure that I had somewhere to park my car and some basic foods in case the restaurants were closed. She was always ready to spring to my aid if I needed something. And she took a real interest in my activities in Normandy (I was taking part as a parachutist in the 80th anniversary commemorations of D-Day). She made my stay that extra special.

Beautiful classic ivy clad French hotel but with contemporary styling and a fabulous restaurant

We had a very comfortable stay, the hosts are friendly and provided great variety of delicious local food for breakfast. The large beautiful gardens were very nice for us to relax after day's walking and sea swim, and much liked by our dogs. Our two-level duplex accommodation was spacious, clean, with a large bathroom.

The property was well taken care of, clean, and quiet. Staff was extremely nice.
