United KingdomSuch a lovely cottage, fairly cool in the heatwave. Garden a good size for our dog. Everything we would need in a kitchen and the tv for late evening. Hot tub great, even when hot outside - it's in the shade and there was a lovely breeze. Comfy beds and sofas inside and so light and airy throughout, bathroom especially. Welcome pack (bread, milk, butter etc) which was really thoughtful and handy!

Bedale is a a small market town in the Yorkshire Dales.
Bedale is a a small market town in the Yorkshire Dales.
It has a few hotels and cafeterias. We had an all day breakfast at the Lazy Dog cafeteria, where dogs are welcome, and you will find Daisy the friendly resident dog Daisy, greeting customers and their dogs.
A small market operates on Tuesdays, and gift shops abound.
Many beautiful walks in the area, a regular bus service from Northallerton is provided .
Chat with the friendly locals in the bars, cafes, or eat at the restaurants.
Bedale is well worth a visit to explore the surrounding dales.

Bedale lies at the eastern end of Wensleydale - as such it is a very good base for exploring both Wensleydale and Swaledale. It's also not far from other attractive places such as Masham, Ripon or even York.

We stayed just outside of Beldale, our accommodation (The Woodman Inn) was in Burneston. A lovely quiet village about 5 miles from Beldale. Beldale town centre was a lively place, with plenty of shops but parking could be difficult.

Lovely Typical Dales Market Town , Can buy all what’s required lots of various shops and plenty places to eat plenty choice . But I did live around this area many years ago with extended family short term so maybe abut Biased .
But plenty to see and do .

Area is superb. Very Yorkshire! Top views everywhere. No litter, grafiti and clean. great 'Local' shops and choice to eat and drink. great friendy folk. Other towns are easy to drive to so a great location if you want to visit other locals. Very few pot holes !

We didnt spend long in Bedale because we went on a Sunday on our way home, but found a lovely cafe for coffee and cake. It was an interesting place would go back to spend longer when we not in a rush

Loved the beautiful cottage; clean, warm, comfortable beds, everything that we could need. The location was great, such a lovely quiet sleepy village, with pub and shop, which was also close to towns such as Bedale and Masham. Met the lovely host (Sarah) as we arrived, who had kindly left us a lovely cake/fruit. There was also a HUGE teddy bear which my 9 year old Granddaughter loved and carried round with her.

Set in a fantastic location, the apartment is of a very high standard. The attention to detail is fantastic with a high quality finish. Set right in the heart of Bedale on the main high street, all pubs, cafes, shops and amenities are accessible with a large, free car park located straight in front of the apartment, making access easy. I would definitely recommend.

The location is great -- in the heart of Bedale and easy access for parking and travel by car. Beautiful Yorkshire Dales all around. Some great little shops, cafes and restaurants in Bedale itself.
