FranceVery clean and comfortable, amazing use of the space making the cabin feel very roomy and airy for the four of us. The children loved it.
Cabin was warm and cosy, with plenty of hot water for showers. The site was new and still very open meaning the children could play outside without any issues at all. Wish we had taken some bikes for them to ride around on safely to the hearts content.
There is a leisure centre across the road that you can buy daily access to for a very reasonable price of £25 for a family of 4 for the full day to come and go as we pleased. We would definitely stay again.

Silverdale and Arnside are wonderful villages to visit.
Silverdale and Arnside are wonderful villages to visit. Silverdale is full of charm and idyllic walks through ancient woodlands and coastal path. Arnside is also a great location sitting at the top of Morecambe Bay. Holidaymakers heading to the Lakes often miss out on this area of outstanding natural beauty

Approx 4 miles from our Accommodation at Borwick Lakes , Has an Aldi , a few restaurant's in and around Carnforth , a small village . The area not too far away from sightseeing the “ Southern Lakes “ , is only a couple of miles from “Morecambe” .

Carnforth is good for shopping, with several supermarkets.
Carnforth is good for shopping, with several supermarkets. It has a train station with a museum and a great real ale pub onsite. The local people are very friendly. You can get to several lovely places from Carnforth by bus or train.

Lake Windermere is stunning!
Lake Windermere is stunning! Would definitely recommend a self-driven boat ride for a few hours.
Ingleton waterfall trails is also beautiful but can be a steep walk with no shade towards the peak, so you have to be prepared for that especially if it’s around 30 degrees!
Morecambe bay/promenade at sunset is a must! The view is out of this world.

Carnforth is ideal to use as abase for few days, the train station is best known as a setting in the 1945 film Brief Encounter, and Heritage centre. The station snug bar, may only be tiny, but is full good cheer.
The train is a fantastic way to see the beautiful views along the coastal route taking in Arnside, Grange Over Sands, Ulverston.to mention just a few.
The Royal Station Hotel great place to stay, rooms are lovely. the food is excellent.
There are a few shops, great coffee shop,and a co-op. plus a Booths, Aldi, and Tesco, great if you are camping/caravanning/self catering.

Carnforth is a small town on a railway junction and it's main claim to fame is the station where 'Brief Encounter' was filmed. It is also very handy (and cheaper) as a Lake District touring centre.

After being let down by another branded hotel in the area, we booked a 2 bedroom lodge and were pleasantly surprised. From arrival to departure, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were professional and courteous, from the bar to reception and the leisure centre. We will definitely come back next time we’re in the area.

Lovely comfortable hotel. Very clean and tastefully decorated and room a lovely size. Communal areas fab and again tastefully decorated.
Fiona and her team couldn't be more helpful and friendly.
Breakfast excellent, Highly recommend.
