Compact and clean. Very quiet despite the town centre location and if you can get free parking in the railway station that’s an added bonus.

I enjoyed staying at a campsite with an already set up tent, inflatable bed and bedding. Easy check in, facilitys were clean. I only stayed one night so it did the job. It is on the West Highland Way trail (10 min walk to it) and that was great because it basically just gets you going in the morning.
Overlooking the Campsie Fells, Rockfoot B&B is just 1 mile from the village of Fintry.

A friendly, comfortable B&B with an excellent breakfast. (Be aware there is no mobile phone signal at the property, but that is clearly not a criticism of the B&B).

We stayed close to the John Muir Way, an old railway line converted to a good footpath. Use this if you don't want to drive and intend to visit Strathblane (for the pub/lunch/evening meal) and beyond. Excellent walking in the area.
