The staff were absolutely amazing! Really friendly, excellent service. The food was as superb! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. And it was in very close proximity to the Bluebell Railway which was the main purpose of the visit. The village was very quiet and was it was very pleasant to visit. Would 110% go back and visit again!

Very beautiful English hotel with well kept character. The staff are very friendly. Rooms are standard but good. Great choice of Breakfast options. Sometimes cooked to order and sometimes as a buffet. Both ways always good. Their Xmas parties are absolutely the best!

We ate ate at the pub during our three day stay, one of the bonuses was the outdoor space. There was a large outdoor area for eating and drinking directly outside the pub and a much larger area at the bottom of their garden which overlooked a very picturesque valley. There`s an outdoor barbeque on Thursday. The Pub overall is in a stunning setting.

Overly priced - underwhelming. staff at dinner not very attentive. Staff at check in who showed room were not overly helpful when I told them I hadn’t got the room I had paid for. Finally after some shrugging and discussion “they can have this room” we were moved. Not really much difference so not worthy any extra money. Sat with our empty dinner plates for at least 45 minutes after we had finished. We’re not asked about dessert. Didn’t sIt any longer and left the table with our drinks to take up to our room. Not a great way to spend my birthday. We spent the next night up in runnymed at a hotel with swimming pool for less money. Think this hotel is way overpriced. Sorry

Beautiful room, amazing food. Such a lovely quiet retreat for 24 hours!! Staff were lovely. The breakfast was really impressive too. Nespresso machine and big selection of teas and coffees in the room with fresh milk. We stayed in the fletching room which is in the main pub. There are also outbuildings that you can stay in too.

This is a characterful pub, fabulous restaurant and excellent hotel. The food was fabulous, the staff incredibly helpful and room exceptional. To top it all a lovely garden with sweeping views of the surrounding countryside. We will return!
