We stopped here for one night, to go to a wedding nearby. The place had everything we could have needed, with an especially comfortable bed and a lovely powerful shower. There village was also lovely but we didn't get the chance to have a proper explore. The host was super lovely, whilst the house is connected, there is a good separation for the annex that we stayed in and we didn't hear anything through the walls etc.

A delightful place in a beautiful area. Staff were fantastic and our room was very clean, warm and comfortable with a really nice en-suite bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

Having a car, Uckfield is in a strategic location to visit Sussex and most of Southern coast in Summer, without having to deal with the crowded coastal towns.
The countryside is just lovely, the hotel infrastructure is quite good and the staff very professional and friendly.

Uckfield is in a good location for accessing London by train and for seeing places like Eastbourne, Brighton, Hastings, a range of National Trust properties and the South Downs. It is helpful to have a car.

Spacious rooms with great facilities and friendly staff.
Spacious rooms with great facilities and friendly staff. The afternoon tea and breakfast was great. As we had a child with us, we could only use the pool and spa at certain times and as a result this became quite busy at times, and we weren't able to use the Jacuzzi and Sauna to the fullest.

I think Uckfield needs to promote walking in the area.
I think Uckfield needs to promote walking in the area. We were unable to get any local maps of walks despite going to the local community centre. Perhaps the hotel should actively try to promote this, we did ask for maps at reception but were told we could walk round the golf course.
My friend and I went to Glyndebourne and stayed in a separate Junior suit. It was back of the hotel, looking onto a small courtyard. The room was very spacious and large double or king bed. The separate sitting room with one two seated sofa and one arm chair where we had a lovely long chat after coming back from the opera chatting up until midnight drinking camomile tea. Staff is all very polite and smiley and efficient (remember our room numbers). There were plenty of menu to choose from for the breakfast. Perfect stay. Thank you so much.
Breakfast was dreadful. Only cornflakes as cereal. When another guest asked for granola, the answer was that they had run out. If I was managing the hotel I would have gone shopping at the local store for a box of muesli/granola. Orange juice was not fresh. Bacon and scrambled eggs were inedible; I suspect that the eggs may have come from powder.
Staff were young, pleasant and helpful but not well enough trained.
We go here alot and the people on desk before were friendly but that being said shane (the receptionist) was absolutely brilliant he gave us a warm welcome! Would recommend the hotel just for him! The rooms are great size and the ground are beautiful to walk around in,the pool is lovely all clean, food was nice to but abit expensive overall great stay
stunning in every way. arrived completely exhausted and felt like I’d arrived into a movie. hotel is beautiful, room outstanding but the very best was the service. amazing. kind. attentive. superb. I am not exaggerating when I say that my stay was probably the best I’ve ever had in this country. thank you all so much.
The staff and owner were so friendly and made us feel at home. The interior of the hotel was made up of beautiful Indian furniture. The room was beautiful and immaculate. Bathroom was beautiful too. The grounds were so peaceful and vast. We had a very relaxing stay. We did not want to leave. Will definitely return.
Lovely fresh breakfast in beautiful surroundings, and there was so much of it. The scrambled eggs were the best I've had in any hotel. Staff were amazing, really helpful and polite. The receptionist went out of her way to be helpful. The real bonus was having very quiet air con!
LOVED that it was dog friendly. It's the only reason we picked the hotel, and the extra space/location was why we chose it over another dog friendly hotel in Brighton. They have some grounds to wander, you can eat with the dog in the bar area, easy access parking. Ideal.
The studio was absolutely lovely, very spacious, clean and beautifully decorated .
Very peaceful too , with the added bonus of a swimming pool
The hosts were friendly and went out of their way to make me feel at home
The bed was so comfortable !
I've stayed here several times and never been disappointed. Everything was up to its normal high standard, the room, the breakfast, the pool, the staff etc. Notable that they have replaced most of the loungers in the pool area with new ones.
Superb period country property, excellent food and very friendly and attentive staff. We had a mid week break from work and Horsted Place was the perfect location to unwind and relax. We are looking forward to returning soon.
Good to have teabags, coffee and milk - thank you. Key safe worked well but the key did need a fair bit of wiggling in the lock! Comfortable space and big TV. Good cafes up the High Street - Cafe 212 and Harpfields.
Central location we used to visit friends in East Grinstead 17 mins. Brighton 20mins and we took the train from Uckfield station ( 15mins) into London Bridge Station just over an hour away.
I enjoyed everything with this hotel.
I only wish I would have received my afternoon tea in my bedroom served in the usual tray rather than on a plate.
