A thriving, friendly small town with a great choice of shops, including its own independent bookshop, cafes, bars, restaurants, cinema, theatre, and leisure facilities, including the fantastic lido. Plenty of walks either along the River Wharfe or up onto the moors, great cycling, and good bus and train connections to go further afield.

We went there as it’s the start of the Dales Way walk to Bowness-on-Windermere so only stayed one night. It’s a lovely town, a bit like a small version of Harrogate with covered walkways and Betty’s tea rooms. Some nice shops and plenty of lovely bars and places to eat.

Ilkley is a good location with plenty to see in and around the town. It is also conveniently located for visiting the Yorkshire Dales. Traffic queues into town from Skipton Road can be long at peak times but this results from town centre traffic lights and there being no bypass for use by through traffic.

It was near my event venue.
It was near my event venue. Also situated in a quiet area and easy to access.
We felt like we were in a 5 star hotel because almost everything was was provided.
No smells of dust at all.
It is a place to consider for someone who loves comfort.
The rooms are very clean and tidy. The general appearance of the hotel is of a very high standard, breakfast is served from 7-9am and is of a very good quality. The location is just outside of Ilkley and opposite the moor. An awesome location with ample parking. No noise issues, very peaceful and quiet.
Not just a pub with rooms. Feels like a hotel with a good bar a restaurant and outdoor area. Staff were excellent and very friendly and welcoming. Location is good for Ilkley. Some good little touches in room like snacks, water, fresh milk and decent toiletries.
The staff were lovely and the location is also very nice and peaceful. Ideal for kids as there is a big play area attached to the hotel. The food is very nice and a reasonable price.
