Keswick is our favourite town in the Lake District, because it has wonderful views of the surrounding mountains, there are plenty of eateries and shops with friendly staff.
There is a good bus service to other areas.

Super town, lovely walking area, nice market 2 days a week. Love the brewery tap - Fox tap, especially the bao buns. The Theatre on the Lake show was brilliant this year.
Best fish and chips from Kingfishers. Good meals at the Fell Pack and Casa Bella. We enjoy Booths - don't have that supermarket down south!

The main issue with Keswick is that at weekends it gets so busy it can really be a struggle to find a restaurant / pub that has available tables.
Overnight car parking near some hotel properties can also be a challenge

This was our first visit to Keswick and we were delighted.
This was our first visit to Keswick and we were delighted. The surrounding mountains and countryside are awe inspiring and the town itself is a great place for shops and food and local inns, as well as beautiful buildings. There are two beautiful gardens a theatre and a cinema, everything you could want, and a boat ride on Derwent water is a must.

I love how every view is framed by fells.
I love how every view is framed by fells. It’s a great town to visit as nature is on your doorstep but there are also many nice gift shops, several convenience shops/ supermarkets and multiple restaurants, takeaways and places to go for a drink. There’s a lovely theatre & a very unique cinema too which are both definitely worth a visit. Hope park is a particularly pretty park and leads you down to Derwent water with its stunning views. A ferry trip across the water is a lovely, peaceful way to enjoy the views and explore the different pier points where you can hop off and back on.

Keswick is ideal for the northern Lakes and has many attractions such as the Theatre by the Lake, Derwentwater cruises, excellent parks, the Keswick Threlkeld cycleway, Saturday and Thursday markets, a motor museum and of course the must see Pencil Museum. The area itself is easily explored catering for all sorts of activities such as cycling and easy to advanced fell walking; the list is endless!

Lorna is an excellent host and made myself and kids feel so welcome straight away. The room was the perfect size for us and beds were very comfortable. All the little touches were very welcome. Beds were very comfy. Location slightly out of town centre but the walk into town (15-20 mins) is beautiful, alongside a lovely stream. We had no trouble with buses to various locations. Just downloaded the Stagecoach app as suggested by Lorna. Keswick is wonderful, lots of restaurants, book ahead in Summer. Would definitely stay again. Thank you

The hotel is in a very good location, 10 mins away to Keswick town centre and lots of trails nearby. It's also very dog friendly. Dogs are allowed in the conservatory and lounge while you eat, and the dog friendly rooms are big. We ate at the restaurant a few times and the meals were all good. Would recommend their Sunday carvery too.

Good location 10 minute walk to town centre. Guaranteed parking very helpful in busy Keswick.
Great sized apartment, two bedrooms and full bathroom. Living area was impressive and bigger than expected. We didnt cook at all but kitchen well equipped if you wanted to.
This will be our first choice next year.

This property is in an excellent location, right in the centre of Keswick. It has a conservatory looking onto the high street where you can have meals and drinks whilst ‘people watching’. It is also a ‘dog friendly’ hotel.
