Really nice bunk house. Sonni was a great host very warm and friendly. The place is clean throughout with great bathroom and shower facilities. Lovely breakfast in with the price and delicious evening meal. Beds looked a little small but had no trouble enjoying a nights sleep in them and I’m 6’4”. Great location short walk to the skate mines and some amazing views.

Llanberis is a great base for exploring Snowdonia, there are...

Llanberis is a great base for exploring Snowdonia, there are plenty of walks straight out of your accommodation, it is also the start of the most straightforward route for climbing Snowdon. The excellent Sherpa bus service runs regularly, which is much more convenient than trying to find a parking space at busy times and in popular destinations. There is quite a lot of work going on in and around Llanberis at the moment, so do check that the attraction you are interested is available when you plan to travel. There are quite a few places to eat in Llanberis, plus a couple of supermarkets. We particularly enjoyed Pete’s Eats, great if you have a huge appetite or fancy a pint mug of tea, but our favourite was Spice of Llanberis. This great Indian restaurant isn’t licensed but you are welcome to take your own alcohol, we found both the meal and the service brilliant.

Llanberis was fine for a couple of nights but really...

Llanberis was fine for a couple of nights but really somewhere to base yourself as nothing much in town apart from the train. The Indian restaurant was great. The Craft centre pretty ordinary and the attached coffee shop had run out of milk at lunchtime. The train well worth doing but for a touristy town go to Beddgellert.

Llanberis had all the facilities we needed for our short stay. Service in the outdoor shop we visited was excellent. Nice Indian restaurant - nothing special but good food and service. The Heights was a bit basic but provided tasty food and a good meeting place for approx 50 of us after our Snowdon Challenge Fundraiser event. Would love to visit Llanberis again to see more of Snowdonia.

Lovely little town with great selection of local pubs and shops. The Heights for dinner was a particularly good spot. Lots of parking and great pub food. The local Spar shop is well stocked with supplies for self-catering, snacks and treats. Really lovely and patient staff.

This is a beautiful location in Wales. The lake is stunning.

This is a beautiful location in Wales. The lake is stunning. The Main Street has lots of nice shops and great places to eat. I didn’t do the full climb because I’m not fit enough. However I got on the fabulous train that takes you to the summit and you have 30 minutes to look around at top and you can climb the last 50 steps up to the summit rock and be on top of the mountain. It was very windy and cloudy but worth doing anyway. We had a fantastic time. The staff are well knowledgeable and very helpful and friendly. Steve was our train guide and he was funny, friendly, kind and very knowledgeable of the mountain and lots of other subjects of wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿.

You can never have too long in Llanberis area!

You can never have too long in Llanberis area! The mountains & lakes are stunning, and there is so much else to explore too. Snowdonia has a magical quality to it that makes it so special. Llanberis is also a great base from which to explore outlying places e.g. during my trip, as well as completing my main goals of climbing Snowdon and Tryfan, I took daytrips from Llanberis to Caernarfon and Anglesey on one day and Llandudno & Conwy on the other, visiting castles, National Trust properties and beaches on teh way. The various driving routes to and from these places back to Llanberis were a joy in themselves. The nearby Pen-y-Gwryd hotel is so interesting, steeped in mountaineering / Everest history - although it was lovely to have the place almost to myself to look around, it is a shame it is not promoted a bit more as a place to visit for a cup of tea / place to stay.

The staff were friendly and considerate, the man on check-in moved me to a room with women rather than a mixed room and they did their best at every step to make sure everyone got a good room for them. It's a great location to walk the Llanberis path up Snowdon from. There's plenty of space, the food is good. I have no bad word to say. It's a hostel-type, so if you're expecting hotel level comfort then it's not going to cut it, but as long as your expectations are sensible it's great!

The location was absolutely incredible, situated perfectly to take full advantage of all of Snowdonia, and equally the beautiful beaches locally. The hosts Sonni & Simon couldn't have done more to make me feel welcome. Simon is a great chef and Sonni makes the BEST flat white (seriously the Food & Coffee are amazing) The beds, although dorm style, are unbelievably comfortable - with plush, clean pillows and linen. In fact, all of the facilities are of a great quality.

Great location so scenic & beautiful. Comfortable & immaculate accommodation! Spar shop next door. Pub, chippy, Indian restaurants close by. Walking distance to hike up Snowdon on the Llanberis path. Caernarfon castle short 15 mins drive. First time visitors to Wales will definitely be back so much to explore!
