This is a beautiful country house in beautiful grounds. The house is very much in character of its era. Our room was beautiful and had a loch view. When we arrived Crawford helped us enter the house. It is self check in. The town is about a fifteen minute walk away. I would book again. It was lovely

So helpful. Google Maps had us on a walk about and the caretaker called us to check in on us. She had us sorted and well landed shortly by phone. Morning was pleasant, unhurried and peaceful. Definitely coming again.

The room (Room 3) was very nice but the views out the window were absolutely stunning. Also, the mattress and pillows are excellent (although our stay was directly after several nights in a camper van, although I'm sure that wasn't the main reason I thought that). The host also provided a stocked refrigerator with water and wine, in addition to complimentary whiskey in a beautiful decanter.
