This cottage is beautiful. Cozy and perfect in every way. The couch was comfy to sit on and we had a really good sleep in the huge bed. Lovely cupcakes that were left for us to try - they were delicious 😋. Thoughtful touches this like and the fresh milk and apple juice really made you feel like you were at home. The owners were onsite and were lovely and friendly to talk to. From the top of the road, we turned right and walked downhill to the Robin Hood pub in Rainow, took us about half an hour going - a bit longer coming back as it was uphill! The wifi was great and needed as we had no signal on our phones at all. Quiet, peaceful and would definitely recommend.

Rainow is a beautiful but very small little village with great local walks and beautiful surroundings but limited facilities. When we arrived we were initially led down a closed road by Google Maps and had to work out an alternative way in as there is limited access. Once there we were able to park on the road. There are lots of amazing walks around this area and we used an app to find a 3 hour walk down to a local historic chapel and back. Locally there is a pub called the Robin Hood Inn which is really your only option for going out for food and drink without going further afield. The people there were lovely. Overall I would recommend staying in Rainow for a weekend trip to enjoy the walking and sights but I wouldn't personally stay for a long trip.

It was a friendly inn with activities some nights.

It was a friendly inn with activities some nights. Pub quiz and karaoke. It was a bit hard to find when driving and it was a quiet little village so no amenities within walking distance but nice walks into the countryside
