Fantastic place for our family get together, the bedrooms are amazing and we loved the balcony and bar area. The views are beautiful.

Outstanding rooms in the Lodge and the staff at reception and in the bar could not have been more helpful throughout the whole process from booking (which I did well in advance), to explaining checking-in process and timings, to providing excellent service at breakfast. We were a older-than-usual stag party of 8 and we felt properly looked after throughout our stay

Staff were all lovely, room was really nice and right on the river with a great view. It was nice to have a spa available.

Homely feel in a great location. The staff were also helpful and we were also happy with the breakfast & dinner we had. We especially liked the Beatrix Potter connection and that the hotel embraced the history inside the property

The ambience of the hotel; it was just right. The location was also very good with the hotel surrounded by tall, well established trees and mature shrubs. A nice environment for a stay. Was one of the most comfy beds so far on our trip, very good breakfasts & wonderful evening meals. Was a very nice touch to have a complimentary bottle of champagne in the fridge,

Immaculate and everything is considered. Some features were absolutely unprecedented like having takeaway cups for coffee so you can take a morning coffee with you. Staff friendly and the view from the breakfast room is truly stunning. All the facilities were in great condition and the room beautifully decorated.

I especially enjoyed peace and quietness around the property. Nature around is amazing. Facilities are fantastic especially in spa suites.

Overall, it was very close to a perfect stay. The location is very convenient, even for those who don’t drive. The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant throughout our stay, and everything was delicious! We were really impressed. The area around the hotel is also lovely for walks, and they even provide Wellington boots for guests to borrow, which was a really thoughtful and useful touch.

Excellent choice at breakfast, the staff were friendly. Loved the pool and the walks around the grounds. We ate at the restaurant and the food was really good. Comfy beds.

Beautiful gardens, accommodating staff, great amenities, choice of hypoallergenic bedding, cleanliness was meticulously maintained especially in the bathroom

We were surprised with a free upgrade on arrival which was a lovely surprise. Room was immaculate with great facilities.
