How homely it felt. Little extras on arrival that were welcomed. Spacious bedrooms. Clean bathrooms (and all the rest of the house too.) Great carparking for multiple cars. Utility room to feed/ clean dogs. Hot tub, table tennis table, outdoor seating although we didnt use this. Kitchen equipped to very high spec. Easily communicate with owner abd responses immediately.

Very serene location and accommodation. Hosts went above and beyond expectations, especially when I arrived late and frazzled. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful mostly local ingredients. The hosts have strong ethical values that come through at all levels. If I return to UK, I would love to stay here longer to truly relax and explore all the fantastic places in the area.

On arrival, we were upgraded to a larger room. The room was very modern and furnished to a high standard with a little kitchenette. The hotel is in the centre of Wooler, we found parking easily and were able to walk to local bars and restaurants.

The Black Bull Hotel is a 17th Century Inn standing in the main street of Wooler.It still retains much of its original character and is situated in one of the most picturesque parts of Northumberland....

House had real character. It had everything we needed. Was easy to heat, cosy warm. Nice spacious well lit and well equipped kitchen. Narrow stairs to bedroom which might be issue if you're not very mobile. Doddingtons Milk Bar next door did great hot chocolate and cakes. Highly recommend. We'd happily go back to cottage. Great stay.
