The room was fabulous and spotlessly clean, with the added bonus of good quality toiletries. The breakfast was truly superb and one of the best I have ever experienced. The staff were really welcoming and extremely pleasant. Couldn't fault anything and we hope to return!

The hotel was just perfect and the staff was brilliant place to stop on Rute from Hull to Plymouth to catch the Brittany Ferry to Santander a great over night stop nice bar nice room and great breakfast got to the ferry in good time and refreshed. lovely walk around the lake too.
Yeovil is a good base to see lots of National Tust properties close by and the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton. We didn't visit the town centre at all. The traffic in town akes it slow to get to other places - for instance Sherborne in Dorset - only 8 miles away but it took ages to get there as we had to go theough the town centre of Yeovil.
Walking around Yeovil is a bit like walking through a ghost town, so many places empty, shut down - gone. Several old hotels that no longer exist. Limited choice of decent places to eat without travelling outside in to the villages.
Town itself isn't much to write home about but there is a great country park very near by with great walks. The Butchers Arms is a great little pub worth visiting, plus a good "Coffee 1". The Wetherspoons is one of the least inviting I have been to (and I have visited about 100 over the years) and is in the run-down area of the town centre. There is the Fleet Air Arm Museum and a couple of National Trust properties nearby so Yeovil is a good location for reaching these.
Central for visiting other areas. Great walks in the country park. National Trust properties nearby. The International Motor museum is well worth a visit. A lot of shops in the town were vacant which is a shame but some good ones remaining.
We didn't pick this accommodation to visit Yeovil. It was central for us to visit friends in some of the outlying villages which were very pretty and with lovely scenery. Yeovil itself is not a particularly attractive town. Places nearby like Sherborne, Langport and Somerton were much nicer.
A beautiful building in a delightfully quaint village, surrounded by Somerset countryside. The Montacute church stands close to the picturesque hotel which is an old inn and retains many traditional features. There is also a garden area and a restaurant where we enjoyed excellent breakfasts as well as delicious three course dinners after drinks in the comfortable bar. The staff were very friendly and efficient, making our stay perfect.
The location to the shops and facilities, Late booking in. The warm greeting from the staff. A key pad entry to the reception area, allowing its customers to come and go with ease. Just keep up providing cheap and cheerful accommodation in the town centre. According to a note on the door they were fully booked, so I guess they are doing something right, and providing a service that is needed locally.
Yeovil
The modern open plan design of the building is gorgeous. Lots of natural light and amazing views of the country side. The bed is incredibly comfortable. Well equipped kitchen, even down to the nespresso machine with complimentary coffee pods. The location is perfect; rural and peaceful yet just minutes from Yeovil town centre. Could not recommend more highly
The room was great. However there wasn’t sufficient parking for the hotel guests! I didn’t have a parking spot on two occasions and was almost in a position where I had to park on the street. This needs to be addressed.
