Hotel in Saint-François
Set next to Champagne Bay Marina, Bwa Chik Hotel & Golf features an outdoor swimming pool and a golf course. It offers spacious accommodations with balconies and views of the golf course or pool. Well located next to the marina or 10 min to the empty beaches in St Francois. The breakfast was decent and varied. The staff was nice with us, keeping the luggages after check-out, calling for taxies etc Overall it was a nice stay.

Located in Saint-François, 656 feet from Raisins Clairs Beach, Le Manganao Hotel provides accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a bar. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel enormously. Since it is ranked as 3*, we did not expect much, but we were so positively surprised! Rooms are sufficiently spacious, even equipped with a minibar-size fridge. Warm water supply perfect. Breakfast really good, with fresh omelettes/pancakes/eggs prepared on request, tasty fresh juices, variety of bakery. Staff is nice and willing to help with whatever you need. Hotel restaurant of top quality, try their Italian salad or fish tartare or fish - yummy. And the beach - simply awesome. We definitely want to come back!

This adults-only hotel is located in Saint Francois and is just a 10-minute drive from the island’s beautiful white-sand beaches. It has an outdoor swimming pool, free Wi-Fi and free on-site parking. Sebastian and Fabian are wonderful hosts. They serve you a delicious Caribbean/French breakfast each morning on your private terrace, and they are very friendly and extremely helpful. There recommendations for restaurants and car hire were fab. The hotel is a charming small slice of paradise. Our bedroom was very clean and comfortable. The shower was powerful and hot water was a plenty. The air conditioning was super.

Featuring free WiFi and a hot tub, Hostellerie des châteaux offers pet-friendly accommodations in Pointe des châteaux, 20 mi from Le Gosier. Almost everything has been perfect although unlike sterling lunches and dinners prepared by the first class chef Pascal , a very continental breakfast menu of L'Hostellerie has been lacking any "sex-appeal" for longer time residents. The owners Michel and Marie-Noel are incredibly dedicated hosts whose care and empathy have been something to remember.
Hotel in Saint-François
Featuring free WiFi, a sun terrace with a swimming pool, garden and water sports facilities, Hôtel La Christophine is located in Saint-François. Hotel La Christophine was an exceptional find in Ste. Francoise Guadeloupe. It is an eight-unit "boutique" hotel of great quality and value. The property is in a gated enclosure and is highly attractive and beautifully maintained. It has beautiful teak decking around the pool which carries to the rooms and an open kitchen and public space overlooking the pool that is inviting and functional. The rooms are highly recommendable and we are veteran travelers. There is very adequate space for two with closets, bathroom with walk-in shower (rain forest shower head and attached spray head) and separate WC. The coolest thing is the array of remotes - a great ceiling fan, an excellent AC unit and - Voila! a drop-down metal shade over the patio sliders that keeps the room dark (don't sleep too late, the sun will not wake you), plus full Wi-Fi (usual) and full TV with NetFlix. If you want English Netflix, you may have to use the language option (no big deal). The patio/lanai is cool. The best thing about the place is Flo, the proprietesse. She is amazing, always there and present from 6:00 am to evening. This is a dedicated woman. She made a list and called in reservations to delightful restaurants for our entire stay. Her passion for cleaning is exceptional. Flo's English is pretty good - sorry we don't speak French. We loved her. The location is quite good, but you must realize you are in Ste. Francoise which is out east. There is a great, popular beach right across the street, but we preferred Point de la Chevreaux which is awesome, truly. Still, Guadeloupe is the "butterfly" and is "two islands". Trips to Bas-Terre (beyond awesome) require planning as travel time from the east takes time. Let no half-baked review tell you Hotel La Christophine is anything but a great place. It is. Breakfasts are 12 euro and quite worth it. The breadbasket, homemade jams and special honey will kill you.

Hôtel Amaudo, Hotel La Metisse, and Hôtel La Christophine got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Saint-François.
Lots to explore and enjoy here, especially the little beachs on the way out to Pointe des Chateaux. Great restaurants, friendly people, fun driving, lots of little animals and tropical vegetation. Great seafood lunch at Man Michel before a hike down to the fun and social naturaliste / nude beach. Loved the Creole art shop and museum, nice people there. And very much enjoyed dinner at Carre for pizza done with French expertise and a lively open air dining room.
Restaurants, typicality, seascapes were enjoyable. A nice park with some shade and fauna would be an asset. Ate at Ti-Francine, Ti-Coco, Le Carré, Les Deux Frères, Le Colombo. Need a car to get around.
Quiet place where you can still meet local people and humbly watch their habits. Local fishermen have always a good advise how to cook fish. Do not forget, Guadeloupe unfortunately does not know how to manage fresh water so your water tap can dry out for some days.
If you're a first time visitor to Guadeloupe (and a non-French speaker!) then there are some things you need to keep in mind. French: Very little English here so learn some French in advance. Car: You must have a car. Parking is chaos if town is busy and people park on the sidewalks/any which way. The night market is on Tuesday--very fun and very busy in town. Restaurants: Not all restaurants are open all the time so make reservations. Tours: It's best to book in advance with popular tours. I can't stress this enough. If you want to visit Petite Terre to snorkel (a must) then don't wait until you get there. Most were sold out weeks in advance. I was lucky to get on because I was a solo traveler. Bring: snorkel gear/beach stuff with you--not all operators provide and it's not easy to obtain on the island..and you will pay island prices. Plus, if you have a car you can visit so many beaches where snorkeling is common that you don't want to be without. Buy: a cheap cooler to keep in the car/for the beach and for transporting food for picnics! Get off the beaten path--I found amazing restaurants in remote places. Pointe des Châteaux is a beautiful drive and you can park almost anywhere, find a path and walk to a beach. There are vendors at the end selling goods and food. Drive! This island is so fun to drive and you really can't get lost. I spent a half-day driving to Porte d'Enfer (there are two--go to both) and it is breathtaking.
Michel makes this place worth staying at. He is a lovely gentleman who will help his guests in anyway he can. Saint-Francois and Ste Anne are both lovely places to explore. The area is very laid back. It not Ste Martin but it is certainly very charming. It's like a visit to the French countryside but you are in the Caribbean.
Very nice little bourg, less busy as Ste Anne. If you want to go to different bourgs, you don’t have to cross the busy road of Ste Anne or Pointe à Pitre. Take the boat tour to Marie Galante at the harbour is just minutes from our condo at Anse des Rochers.
