Chromata Assos Villas are beautifully designed and spotlessly cleaned. Panos is kindness personified and arrived each morning with a thoughtfully presented and delicious breakfast tray. He arranged for an early check in which we really appreciated having had to leave Ithaca early due to stormy seas.

The seafront Kefalonia Bay Palace is a charming Ionian style hotel built amphitheatrically in the bustling town of Agia Efimia. It offers accommodations with breathtaking views of the Ionian Sea.

We strayed for a week on half board, the food was excellent and very good value for money. A massive shout out to the lovely Victoria she’s an absolute credit to the hotel.

Really relaxed atmosphere. They were happy to help when we needed some, A good working team focused on customer satisfaction. Apartments were good. The taverna is good. The seated eating area was good.. The food was good, But most of all. The place is good. Would return without question

The accomodation was lovely with beautiful surrounds. It’s a 40 minute walk into Fiscardo or 7 euro taxi. I’d recommend taxi as it’s dangerous walking in the road. There’s a lovely tavern, the stone house, that has great meals and mini supermarket market 400 metres from the accommodation. I would recommend this place to stay.
Only a 3-minute walk from Agia Efimia Beach in Kefalonia, Villa Kirki Apartments features rooms with free Wi-Fi and a furnished balcony overlooking the Ionian Sea or the Cephalonian scenery.

ASOS is a small village full of pretty painted houses...
ASOS is a small village full of pretty painted houses reflecting its Venetian heritage. It has an excellent cafe and three traditional Greek tavernas - the best one being in the village square opposite the cafe. A varied menu full of delicious home made food. Run by the wonderful Panagiotis. We ate there both nights.
The village is very simple and doesn’t feel like a tourist trap. In September, if you want to be in the sun the far side of the bay receives the most sunlight all day into the evening.
The added benefit is that there are no cars in the village. Taxis can come in and out but hire cars are in a large car park next to the pathway up to the remains of a castle on the hill. The views along the coast are magnificent. It’s easy to walk around the village.
A two night stay was about right and we are glad to have visited.

Picturesque!
Picturesque! Small enough village to be able to walk everywhere if you're reasonably fit (it's steep!). There are a couple of mini-marts for all the basics and a few other shops. There's a town beach and nearby coves and the sea is clear and has great snorkelling - plenty to see! With a boat you'd find deserted coves too. There's a ruined Venetian castle and a cave to discover too. Very winding access road into the village - hairpin bends all the way. A large carpark as you arrive, on the outskirts, and another carpark nearer the sea. Both are an easy walk into the village. Only about an hour's drive from the airport. A handful of restaurants, some better than others, but all had their merits. Loads of cats everywhere!

Beautiful little village, a very comfortable and quiet place during the summer nights. Nice 2 beaches and 4 restaurants will make your stay memorable. We stayed in Asos twice and were satisfied both times.

The view of the town from above is very suggestive; I didn't frequent the nearby beaches and I'm not sure they were there. The village is nice to see in the evening, but maybe just 2/3 days. I think for a longer period it would be boring. However, in the vicinity of other towns, there are taverns, not right on the sea, where you can eat very well at prices that are more than fair for the average of the island, which in general I think is too expensive.

The village of Assos is exceptionally beautiful and charming...
The village of Assos is exceptionally beautiful and charming and the swimming from its three beaches is world class! It still has a village feel and despite being so pretty, it isn't swamped by tourists.
We tried all the restaurants except for Three Wise Monkeys but our favourite, hands down, was Estiatorio Platanos, away from the beach in the main square. The food there was exceptional and the aubergine ragout was the tastiest vegetarian dish I've ever eaten anywhere.
The village bakery is fabulous too, and won't break the bank!

A beautiful village with three restaurants and two well...
A beautiful village with three restaurants and two well stocked mini markets. All our meals were good but there is little variety if you are staying for a week and you may wish to hire a car to visit other places to eat. The swimming is lovely and safe for children but it was quiet in late May but could get very busy in high season with only a small beach.
Fiscardo is close and provides an alternative evening venue if you are confident to drive the roads after dark.
I would recommend for an early or late season break.

The welcome from Dmitris was super warm. And every time we met Dmitris he had a big smile and a nice chat, super host! The apartment is simple but provides everything you need. It is really super clean and they keep it that way. The view is phenomenal and within a few minutes walk you are in the beautiful center of Asos. Absolutely recommended!!
WHAT A VIEW! Once you enter the balcony, you cannot but love this apartment:) Overlooking the most beautiful village in Kefalonia and its charming bay, your mornings and evenings there will be unforgettable. Apartment itself is nice, clean and comfortable enough. Host is super nice, even helped us with luggage. Parking is just 2-3 minutes walk.
Very nice hotel in the city centre, we stayed for one night before our flight, rooms are clean, many bathroom accessories, delicious breakfast full of local meals, starting from 7 am so we enjoyed it despite our early departure.
