Eleven is a lovely little hotel in Stavromenos, about 10-15 minutes drive from Rethymno. I loved the pool, spacious room, view from the room, tasty breakfast and the staff. Everything seemed to be new, rooms were cleaned and towels changed daily. It is a bit far from everything so car is recommended but this worked great for us as we wanted to spend our vacation in a quiet spot anyway. All in all, a wonderful experience.

Beautiful rooms, awesome to have the outdoor jacuzzis, we spent almost all of our time in Rethymno out on the terrace just relaxing to the sounds of the ocean. It was gorgeous and there are so many exquisite details. Breakfast was also fantastic with tons of choices for all tasted and more than enough food to cover both breakfast and lunch - we weren’t hungry again until dinner!

We visited Ammos suites 2 years ago and loved it so much, we never usually return to places but we always knew we would come back as it has been one of our favourite places and a few of our friends have also visited off our recommendation and loved it too! Since we last came the reception and pool area has been renovated and looks so modern and trendy, which is no surprise as the manager, Filio, always looks so stylish and has great taste! All the staff at Ammos are extremely friendly and hard working and everywhere is spotlessly clean. You can tell everyone who works there has pride in their work and cares about the guests! We can’t wait to return again one day!!

The hotel is wonderful. The main thing that impressed us was the peaceful atmosphere. Beautiful territory, its own sandy beach, modern interior, intertwined with a lot of thought and perfect advance planning. We met very friendly staff with excellent service and attitude. Our room was large and quiet, with a comfortable bathroom, stocked with all the necessary accessories and nice cosmetics. Cleaning is at a very high level and is daily. Wonderful breakfast with a huge selection and options for lunch and dinner in two restaurants. We did not lack anything, for which we can only thank you.

Asterion is a small village, quiet with one main road...

Asterion is a small village, quiet with one main road through it. There are a couple of restaurants (one traditional Greek, one with an Indian/Mexican/European fusion cuisine), a church and occasionally some sheep crossing the road. Very charming and quaint, slightly inland and on a hill (with views of the sea). For amenities such as a baker, pharmacy, supermarket or bars you need to drive 5 mins. down the road to Stavromenos, or 15 mins. to much livelier Rethymno.
