Hotel Archontiko Anyfanti in Zátouna has 5-star accommodations with a garden. This 5-star hotel offers a shared lounge. The tour desk is available to assist guests in planning their days out. Located in a quiet, slightly-off-the-beaten-path town, Archontiko Anyfanti has a surprisingly modern yet welcoming vibe - picture a castle with very cool Scandinavian-style decor. We were there in low season and had the run of the place. George - the concierge/chef/all-around great guy - gave us awesome tips for local hikes and sights and made a wonderful breakfast; and when we enquired about the art, he gave us a print! Five-star service all-around. Our room itself was spacious and gorgeously appointed. There’s no Wi-fi, but that was part of the charm. As for location, it’s a perfect jumping off point for exploring the enchanting nearby villages and hidden monasteries. The onsite restaurant only operates on weekends, though the locals in the nearby tavernas are welcoming and incredibly friendly.
Located 3609 feet above sea level, Mpelleiko is 984 feet from the center of Stemnitsa village. Everything. Nina was by far the best host I had during my entire stay at the villages. Trekking the Menalon trail would not have been possible for me to complete without her guidance. She is one the few that speaks english and greek perfectly and was able to guide me around the trail. Also her breakfast is made from scratch every day and its simply phenomenal. The Location is breathtaking as well as you can see the entire village and part of the trail from this place. Even the taxi drivers knew about her and were raving about her when they were taking me to her place. If you are going to Stemnitsa (especially as a solo traveler) you have to stay at least one night at her guest house. I promise you will enjoy it.
Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Gartagani Guest House offers pet-friendly accommodations in Stemnitsa. Free private parking is available on site. Very welcoming and accommodating! Even served us breakfast very early since we had to catch a bus to Tripoli. Thank you again!

Reviewed: May 10, 2018 Catherine Georgia was so delightful, friendly and helpful, nothing was too much problem. Huge bedroom with great views from the balcony. The bed was comfortable and the location very peaceful. Very useful to have a fridge and two-ring cooker in the room to prepare our own food if we wanted to, and the breakfast buffet had so much variety- cereals, breads, cakes, jams (some home-made), boiled eggs, sliced meats, cheese, fresh fruit, coffee and tea.....it was well worth the reasonable room rate. Also the abundance of roses around the garden areas gave a gorgeous scent - beautiful! Stayed in May 2018
Dimitsana is a very picturesque village with significant history. Food seems to be excellent at least in the "Kapilio ton Athanaton", which we tried and the coffee shops and bars are impressively well decorated and very pleasant. A lot of sightseeing and activities in the area.
We wanted to explore somewhere off the beaten path in January, and to do some hiking. Dimitsana was very quiet. The position of the town is breathtaking and we felt very lucky that the town we'd picked to stay in happened by far to be the nicest we'd seen since winding our way through the Peloponnese from Athens. There was rain, fog and snow some of the time (mid Jan), none of which took anything away from the amazing atmosphere of Dimitsana, the hills or the gorge. We felt like we were suspended in the air, sometimes above clouds, hanging over the Louisos Gorge. We only stayed one night and spent the next day visiting the incredible Prodromos and Philosophou monasteries. Hadn't seen anything like that before. For active visitors interested in something extra besides than beaches and historic sites Dimitsana well repays the drive from Tripoli. The roads are good, but quite steep and windy. Perfect if you like that kind of thing. Plenty of nice places to eat, we enjoyed the Drimonas taverna, on the way out of Dimitsana after the Piraeus Bank. Wish we had longer to enjoy hiking the mountain trails.
Dimitsana is a lovely small village high up in the mountains and a perfect place to stop for a night if you are travelling or a few nights if you want to walk in some incredible mountain scenery. Whilst the village is small there are a few nice cafes and restaurants and nearby if the open air water museum where you can learn all about the water powered mills and tanneries that used to exist in the area. Fascinating place and well worth a visit and (at the time of writing) only 3euros entry.
We have liked to wandering around the village and looking at different buildings and street life. Parking is a bit of a problem :) but solvable with parking slot which we found near our apartments. Water Wheel museum in the neighborhood is highly recommended for the travelers with kids!
Dimitsana is a pittoresque village and serves as an excellent base to make hikes in the Lousios Gorge. Our hike was about 2,5 hours, with steep climbs. Next time I will come better prepared and take a longer hike. The Gorge and the monastries pitched against the rocks are very impressive.

The owners of the hotel are very nice people, very helpful and kind. We stayed there with our 2.5 year old daughter (who also enjoyed the place very much) and it was very comfortable for us. The location is perfect, in the center of the village, there's even a small playground very close to the hotel. We really enjoyed the delicious homemade breakfast! Very recommended!

Amazing hotel with stunning rooms. Beautifully comfortable bed, warm room, lovely bathroom and great balcony. The breakfast was to die for, the best we’ve had, with homemade chocolate cake! The owners were lovely and couldn’t have done more to make everyone feel welcome. Simply stunning and ridiculous value for money. Gray vase for the menalon trail!

In nice location and and only 5 minutes' drive from Dimitsana, room and kitchenette as advertised, we loved the little stream right on the property and kids could even swim, Andreas and his wife are lovely people, they don't speak much English but that wasn't an issue because they make an effort to communicate and their daughter does speak English.

We arrived in Dimitsana in the afternoon after a long drive and looked on Booking.com for a room without any expectations. 15 mins later we walked into this beautifully designed accommodation right in the center of town with every modern convenience. The bed was wonderful as was the bathroom and attention to detail. Screens on windows too. Super nice place!

Guesthouse Lousios has an amazing location, next to the main square of the village. Mr Mimis (the owner) is super helpful giving you all the tips you’ll need to better explore the area. Violeta (our cook) was a true star. Do taste her apricot marmalade.
