United StatesYploui Suites are a hidden gem in Kira Panagia. The view from the balcony is stunning! The rooms were so clean, new and comfortable. We loved having a kitchenette and brand new amenities. The beds were also very soft. Zoe was extremely responsive, kind and helpful. She made us feel very welcomed at Kira Panagia in Karpathos. I would highly recommend staying here!

United StatesThe Orange House is a slice of heaven on Karpathos. The pictures truly do not do it justice. I was in awe! It has incredible charm, is authentic to the village, and has modern conveniences. I couldn’t think of a single thing to add to make this stay better. It was a perfect introduction to my time on the island, and Andrea and Felipe were absolutely delighted. I would come back anytime I am on Karpathos!

Diafani is peaceful and really you are only going to come...
Diafani is peaceful and really you are only going to come here if you’re touring the north, hiking or Saria Island.
A scattering of restaurants/ Tavernas along the front all do decent food.
One local shop but prices not too bad seeing as it’s a remote town.

We truly fell in love with Diafani.
We truly fell in love with Diafani. The local people in all the establishments were so pleasant, the food was delicious, and the sea was crystal clear and beautiful. It's a very cozy village with great tavernas and lovely beaches, though having your own transport is a must to get around. We had an amazing stay and would definitely love to come back!

Time has stood still in the best sense of the word in...
Time has stood still in the best sense of the word in Diafani, it offers a great cafe and a family tavern (Anixi), excellent beaches and hiking opportunities are within walking distance, I cannot forget to mention the boat trip to Saria Island with Captain Manila which was the highlight of the entire stay. The holiday here could not have been better!

Lack of taxis, buses, decent beaches were downsides. No ATM, one small shop and unreliable ferry service were others. 2 days if you wanted to visit Olympos would be adequate, 3 at best. The only ATM was a Euronet one in Olympos with the associated rip off charges for withdrawing cash. It's badged as a normal bank machine with just small Euronet badges. Beware.

The activities one can do are countless.
The activities one can do are countless. Swimming, snorkeling, windsurfing, hiking, sea cruises. A lot small pebble beaches, sometimes accessible only from the sea. For the sea cruise to Saria island, we more than enjoyed the trip with Captain Manolis boat.
The rocks in the water are sometimes sharp and slippery, so sea footwear is a good option.
For hiking is better to have sturdy shoes and durable long trousers.
The Dolphins restaurant allows to taste the fish and seafood pulled out of water the very same day. We have never eaten better shrimps than there. The tavern owners are very kind, empathizing and generous. The prices are more than favorable. Other restaurant to recommend is Rahati. The owners are nice, the food is delicious with every time a bit extra, plus the sea side view.

A beutiful quiet place, without the crowds, and the feew tourists that find their way to Diafani are the best kind, and most of them keep returning whenever they get the chance. Many leave their luggage behind, me included, so it it like coming home each time. Everything you need for a perfect stay is on the island, and with a amall airport and two ferryports, Diafani is also the perfect location for island-hopping,

Wonderful small family run hotel situated along the mountainside above Diafani harbor. This was my third visit to the Diafani/Olympos area. I enjoyed staying somewhere new. Spacious, comfortable room with a gorgeous terrace with a view. The hospitality and the breakfast were excellent. It was a short climb down to the harbour for a boat trip with the lovely Nikos, and near several good restaurants, including the Dolphins, which specialises in freshly caught fish from the owner's boat.

Had a great stay at Balaskas. Hotel is family owned and they were so warm and welcoming. The building is old but renovated and furniture and decoration new. Comfortable bed. Wifi worked perfectly. Michalis gave us great tips for what to do and his father took us on an unforgettable boat trip. In all we were completely happy.

Great location & excellent value. The lady who looks after the apartments is second to none. Gave us some homemade pies & bread that she bakes herself. Despite not speaking much english, we enjoyed some conversations with her using Google Translate. She's a real character. Highly recommended if you're in Diafani.
