Myrina or Mirina is the capital of Lemnos and is built between two bays ,with the castle overlooking both It is a very friendly and safe place with easy access to the shops and restaurants and bars . The old Greek bay ,Romeikos Gialos ,has most of the restaurants and bars but retains its original character and even has children’s playgrounds by the sea front As it is mostly a pedestrian area cars have to be parked slightly further but the walking distance is very short ,less than ten minutes The castle, the beaches of evgatis ,platy and fanaraki are very nice and the restaurants in the villages of Platy,Kontias and Nea Koutali and Moudros offer great local cuisine of excellent quality and great money value
The new and old ports are beautiful. Beautiful and elegant buildings, chic shops, taverns with quality food, bars, beaches accessible in the port area organized and with fine sand. You do not have the feeling that you are in the port but in a chic, clean, elegant, and quiet city without being crowded and suffocated by tourists. There are all the facilities to satisfy any needs. We will definitely be back. The island is beautiful, clean with wonderful beaches, wineries, taverns and excellent bars. Access to the island is facile by ferry from Kavala.
Plenty to see and do. Great Beaches. Tavernas with plenty of variation Worth trip up Castle. Views stunning. Both ports are worth visiting in evenings, although parking can be a problem. Best to walk around the shops and cobbled streets
Mirina is a lovely town with the old castle on top of the hill. It has the main market and lots of restaurants and cafeterias. Definitely try Romeo Seaside restaurant in Romeikos Gyalos the food is mind-blowing. The best hotel to stay is Archontiko - such a cute boutique with amazing rooms and garden.
An undiscovered gem. Not overcrowded. A variety of restaurants to choose from. The beach was clean. There were buildings and areas that on a longer stay would have been worth exploring. The people were very friendly and helpful.
We liked the laid back and friendliness of the people. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Three beaches in Myrinna itself. A castle worth a look round for the views alone. Not for younger people looking for plenty of nightlife although there is some available. An unspoilt Greek town, long may it stay like this.

I went to the east of Lemnos and stayed in a not so good hotel, and came back again to Amigdalas before leaving Lemnos. Amigdalas is a place that you feel home, and surely one of the best in Greece.
The staff is very friendly, the place is always clean and it is in the centre of the city of Myrina, where it is not difficult to find parking lot. Worth it!
It was within a short walk of a decent beach. The property was clean. The hotel has a pleasant outdoor veranda on the main floor with comfortable seating.
Breakfast was good, with a good variety. Hotel is well located about 10-15 minute walk to old port. I had a good view of the castle from my room.
Everyone is so friendly and eager to make it a perfect stay. You feel very comfortable at this hotel.
